Aaaah.... I usually go for 'I'm thirsty' or 'I'm hungry' when....eeerrrrmmmm....when it's beer o' clock.. ;):D

Is this like NHL maybe, indulging in some quality beers, when some bowling just happen to, well.....start? ;):D

I didn't know, that one needs an excuse to drink beer.... ;):D

I most certainly don't need an excuse to drink beer, but I have more then one reason not to drink beer :( Chronic pancreatitis and diabetes are 2, but on the forth of July if I am feeling well I will eat less so that I can have a beer or 2. Last year I skipped breakfast and lunch and had 3 beers!!! :) I had to take an extra walk to keep my blood sugar in-line, but it was well worth it!!!

What is better then a cold lager beer? If I were king of the world (I thank God I am not!) Reinheitsgebot would be international law, but with the amendment for the use of yeast of course. Maybe I would make and exception for rice, Budweiser does good with rice. Maybe wheat too, but fruit and spices... in beer? That just is not right! In my mind if you want fruit and spices you should drink wine.

What's up with lemon slices in beer? Lemon is for tea or lemonade or even tabasco lemonade like Jeffery use to drink, but not beer!!!

Are you an ale drinker 113? I don't much care for ales, they are not bad, but lagers are so much better in my opinion.

Nice B&O photo 113, thank you and thank you for the Frisco locomotive photos as well!

I have really become a fan of microbrews and craft beers. When I was in the Navy I was fortunate enough to have traveled to over 73 countries and I am sure that during these visits I sampled as many of the local beer as I could. Sorry, I like my beer.

Lime goes well with VODKA , tho some folks prefer lemon. I used to make pitchers of Vodka and 7 UP with a slice of lime. Oh yeah.

I'm having some beer right now in fact. (nothing new about that)
I'm also known to have some Tennessee sippin' whiskey now and then.
Time of day never matters. Fortunately I have friends all over the world so my excuse can be "I was having a beer with [whomever]".
And that "whomever" might be across the date line 14 hours ahead so I'm always covered.

BigE next time you are buying whiskey try an Irish whiskey, my favorite. The word Whiskey comes from the Gaelic language and in Gaelic it means "water of life" The Irish and Scots/Irish take whiskey very seriously. Although Irish Whiskey and Scotch taste very different to me.

Not a beer drinker. Hell , two make my lips go numb and I want to lie down and sleep . Bloats my stomach and makes me feel uncomfortable.

If I stray from my beer, I like my bourbon. Jack Black is usually what I keep at home but I have an open mind to all brands.

Before I went to Daytona for the 500 I was posting pictures of various place around Montana. Guess I forgot when I got home. Here are a few shots in my local area near Bozeman, MT.

The first is an eastbound train climbing the 1.8 percent grade out of Bozeman, MT. The second at near the summit just before going through the tunnel at the summit and the last is a shot of a train decending downgrade into Livingston, MT.

Time to head to town, hurl a ball and enjoy some brew.

Louis, I am a big fan of Jamesons!
One of my worldly friends used to live in Cork county just a few miles from the distillery. He has sent me many a "care package".
Alas he has since moved to New Zealand. Maybe Aussie land. I forget which.
Keep the scotch - I just don't like it.

BigE my grandmother is from Cork, my great aunt (her sister) loved to drink boiler makers.

My Grandson's name is Jameson

Boy can I tell some stories about boilermakers!! Fortunately cell phones and their cameras weren't popular or affordable back then otherwise they would have made me famous - or infamous depending on your take.

Are those SD70ACe's?
What a beast!!!
I would to have one but I doubt it would handle my 18" radii curves.
My DDA40X dam sure can't but still looks good just sitting there.

Any beer (almost) as long as it's nice...not Budweiser, Miller, Coors and the likes...
Got more '13's' for you buddy...

Agree mate! The pub a spitting distance from where I live, have their own brewery and another one, about 30-45 minutes walk from me, has two separate fridges with all kinds of proper beers, German, Polish etc.,etc...

A lot goes well with vodka... ;):D

Did you know, to be proper, Irish is Whiskey, Scottish is Whisky, we don't use the 'e' here in Scotland....

Should any of you lads stop by Glasgow, give me a shout and we'll hit some pubs!

We go to national bowling tournaments in Reno, NV a few times a year and stay at the ElDorado casino which is 2 blocks from the bowling arena and at the casino there is a place called the Brew Brothers. We just can't explain how we end up in there in the evenings. Great microbrews could be the reason.

I'm waiting for a signed copy of your memoirs Mr. E! ;):D

More than once, I've been on my way to the shops and ending up confused why they don't have any milk, then realising....aaaah....pub! :o;):D
