My brother passed away this morning at 4, after a brief rally. My nephew and I will be making final arrangements over the weekend. He was 67.
Again, thank you for all the well wishes, prayers, and good thoughts.

My condolences for your loss. May he Rest in Peace.

Good morning everybody.

15 with clear skies in southeast Baltimore.

I hope everybody can have a great day.

Terry our prayers are still with you and your family in this sad and difficult time. Try to keep in mind that with each passing day the sadness will be a little bit less.

Have faith and count your blessings to help you through this or any difficult time.

Terry,
So sorry to hear of your brother's passing. Any pain he had is gone, now yours begins. May it pass for you and yours soon, and be replaced with warm memories of him.

Very sorry that your brother has passed Terry, take comfort from the probability, that had he survived, his life could have been not one anyone would wish.

Thanks, everybody.
My nephew has been hit extremely hard over the last week. His grandmother passed away last Saturday, his grandfather passed away yesterday, and his father passed away this morning.
He was giving everybody problems over the last few days, after his grandparents both passed on, it was tough to have to not only remind him we all are feeling this, but deal with these things myself.

Oh man. You can't say that! Who would know?
My aunt Elaine had a massive heart attack while having supper with her daughter. She died. The EMS people got there in a couple minutes and revived her and loaded her up and took off for the ER. Her heart stopped 22 (yes, twenty two) times before getting to ICU and she survived. After some 6 weeks in a coma she didn't know anything. I mean anything including how to speak or recognize anyone including her own mother.
To know her today you would never know it. She's is completely coherent and fully operational as a software engineer (as am I).
Last time I saw her was 2 years ago for my Mom's service. I wondered would she even remember me. Uncle Jim brought me to his house and she just came up a gave me a big ole bear hug. The 3 of us stayed up till about 3 that next morning drinking and crying together.
I asked her about that time when died so many times. The only thing she doesn't remember is when she was in the coma. She does remember coming out of it and not knowing how to talk or understand anyone and how that "p...sed her off". (her words)

I guess what I'm saying is to not make blanket statements like that. We just don't ever know.

Wow. That has to be wearing him out emotionally. My 2 Grandmothers are knocking on that door being in their late 90s. I'm expecting a phone call about either at any time. Perhaps your nephew is the one in need of prayers. He has mine as you do as well.
I would offer to help but know there really isn't anything I can do. Best wishes is the best I can do. You have that my friend.

And... on the weather... it's 28° here with a predicted high of 60.
Bright and sunny already.

Terry - deeply sorry about your loss!:( I lost a sibling myself unexpectedly two years ago, I know how tough that can be. My prayers are going up for you and your nephew.

You mentioned that your brother hadn't been to a doctor in 30 years. I often joke about my wife being a hypochondriac, but if she hadn't kept nagging me back in 2001 to see my doctor for a complete checkup, I'd have wound up exactly like your brother. These 8 prescription meds I've been on since then, have probably added 20 years to my life expectancy.

As someone that has personally died, and come back, I am afraid I don't necessarily agree with that thought. He was conscious and coherent last night when we visited with him for over two hours. His speaking was a bit impaired, but understandable.

Sorry to hear about your brother Terry.

Starting at 34 degrees and predicted to the mid 50's this afternoon.

I found out this morning that we're going to do a doubles bowling tournament this after. Another excuse to drink beer.

Time for another '13' for you Louis...
