It has been a while. Had all sorts of things happening in my absence from the forum. Got the wrong computer parts, 3 times. This is a test to see if the part they sent is going to work. Figured as along as I am on the 'puter, I should check in.
Made another trip to Bozman to see the kids and grandkids and take care of some business. Also made a couple of trips to Idaho to visit my friend who shattered her wrist. She did manage to get a new pup to be her service dog.
Last week was a bummer. I had to go to Kalispell for eye surgery. I had Entropian which was the lower eye lash curving in and scratching the eyeball. Sort of like having an 80 grit eyelid. The operation went fine and now that I am running out of ointment that blurs vision I can see clearly now. I think there was a sone about that.
i5 miles out of Libby headed to the eye clinic, a deer hit me which will most likely total the car. I was going to give it to my daughter but that probably won't happen.

It wasn't fun trying to drive back to town looking, or trying to look through that windshield. Due to the age of the car, it would be a total to an insurance company. If I brought to to my shop in Bozeman, I could repair it. The fender is aluminum and readily available. The headlight is easy to get as well as the windshield and drivers window and side view mirror glass, but that wrinkle on the roof would be difficult but not impossible by any means.
The previous Monday I did buy another car as I was going to give this one away. Found a 1997 Riviera by Buick. I has the same 3800 V-6 as the other one that easily gets good fuel mileage in the low 30's on the road. Not a scratch or a mark on it and only had 57,500 miles on it.

And best of all, NO FLIPPIN' TOUCHSCREEN. I hate those things. Having been an accident investigator, I see them as an accident waiting to happen.

Sorry if I bored you. It's not train stuff. Gotta run a couple of tests to see if the part they sent will work. It is supposed to be a direct replacement.
