Good Morning All and those whom teet; or not.
68F @ 61% To be 100F+ later today ...yuk! !!

The hose problem is fixed. Tried a chisel bit but found I could not hold the bottom of the the hose flat and would 'scratch' up the sidewall which still caused a small leak. Fix was a big drill bit that just fit in the hose twisted by hand.

Ya, kinda moot for a $20 hose, but stuff like this really pisses me off when manufacture's do this crap. Besides, those hoses are only on sale early spring and we only bought two last year. Need more than 100Ft to get to the fence line on the back acre.

Life is fun - isn't it?

Hughie - That was really quick for the power in your area. And only 5.5" of rain! You got off easy.
Location, location, location. Many places received a lot more rain than us. Some amazing water rescues on the news. Add to that the tides in Galveston Bay were not in sync with the surge. I live on a dead-end street. Seven houses to a side. When I walked the dog last night only us and the house next door had power on our side of the street. The subdivision behind us was dark except for a couple on generators. It seems we are on a different supply than the rest of the neighborhood. Walking the dog this morning still to the sound of generators.

You all can rest easy. I drilled three pilot holes through the upper piece of trim (the side in my furnace room). So I know I was biting into solid wood above the door frame. Then added three construction screws. NOT drywall screws.

I can get rid of the treadmill and add a teeter. But I need the treadmill. The furnace room is my 3d printing area and it's full - no extra storage.. I suppose I could dump one side of the model railroad layout to fit it in.

Let me see how this bar works. I don't plan on pull ups with it. I couldn't do those when I was much younger. Looking at past reports of lawsuits over these bars, the class action one was dismissed in 2015.

A late good morning after a bit of a hiatus. Too busy or too tired to get any railroad time in lately but life goes on. Mother nature is finally putting some effort into getting fire season underway here. Another cloudless morning with 89 for the forecast high.

The local land trust rep was out at 9:00 to make sure I'm not making any violations of the trust agreement on half the place. It was an RZR jaunt. and actually enjoyable.

And the magnum version of a mock orange shrub. This one is about 15' high and 15' in diameter and apparently having a very good year. Totally covered with blossoms.

First On Race Day 😁
I was just needling Karl. It's what I do.

I only built one high performance engine. A 302 Ford, with a 2.75 - 9" rear I never got close to top speed. After that got stolen, I never built another one.

I drive exclusively Chevys now. My cousin works at a Chevy dealer. Loyalty to family is more important than brand loyalty. Except for Lionel, that's a horse of another color!

Like I tell my grandsons "Always do the right thing, regardless of risk or reward" "Sometimes good things happen for you if you do, sometimes" Sometimes "no good deed goes unpunished"

The Chevys I've bought have been the most reliable cars I ever owned. Not even my BMW came close to my Chevys. My Fords, Lincoln, and Mercury. forget about it, no contest.

"Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie and Cheverolet!"

😁
