Just a quick check in before I dash off to school. Four day weekend coming up for me. I have tomorrow off! Woo-hoo!
I use Valspar Clear Flat for the flat coat. That would work too, and probably better on plastic. The ink wash requires a porous surface for the best look. The flat coat helps on plastic surfaces.
Grandkids are a hoot, no arguement here! I'm looking foreward to Sunday, as the will be up for a swimming/end of summer party.Aren't grandkids a hoot!!!! My grandson is 18 months and loves to wave at everybody. Not quite as verbal as he could be, but does make his wants known...LOL
And Happy 38th anniversary. My wife and I are about 10 years behind you as we had our 28th this past May.
Well its be a quiet week in Lake Wobegone, as Garrison Kealer would say....
Pam and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary Wed.
I figure that its another year to a year and a half before we start on scenery.(yeah, right!)
I also have another that acts like it's losing pickup while its running. Its an older brass locomotive, and it has a spring suspension in it that reminds me a lot of the old Varney "Super" series of loco kits. Instead of individual springs for each axle, there is one piece of wire that runs from a stud on each end of the frame that the axles rest on. Replacing those wires with some new ones is gonna be a bear without rebuilding the frame. I'm also going to install some Tomar shoes on this loco to make the pickup even better.
One of my neighbors will know about it long before I do. She's only eight feet above the normal lake level. That's what I like about being up on a hill.Jeffery, get your snorkal out I think it may get deep over your way.
