Afternoon all,

Good news - told CFO of my Digitraxx spree last nite and lived to tell about it! Bad news - to "pay" for it, I've been assigned a honeydo list that's longer than a Norfolk Southern coal drag.

Steve - sorry to hear your still having trouble with that win tv installation. I'll bet if the Audi was still in your driveway the install would have worked perfectly on the first try...!

Paul - glad it finally sprung up there! You NY guys have sure taken it on the chin, weatherwise...

Ken,

Look at it this way, at least a coal drag has a FRED.

Some honey-do lists are are closer to Mark B. helix. Make around to the end and you're a whole new level.

A Senior Moment

A very self-important college freshman attending a recent football

Game took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting

Next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to

Understand his generation.

"You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one,"

The student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. "We,

The young people of today, grew up with television, jet planes, space

Travel, men walking on the moon.... We have nuclear energy, electric

And hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing and..."

He paused to take another drink of beer.

The elderly gentleman took advantage of the break in the student's

Litany and said, "You're right, son. We didn't have those things when

We were young... So we invented them. Now, you arrogant little son

Of a bitch, what are you doing for the next generation?"

The applause was deafening...

I love senior citizens. I are one.

Evening all!

Opening night at Geneva High School. CATS! Awesome! We got the sound sorted out last night with the help of the guy that installed the system. Moved antennas out from the case that holds the built in radio units, had signal from all the mics all the time. Found one of the amps backstage was dead and replaced it with one on a foldback (monitor) system and got all the front end working right. Choreography was fantastic, wonderful. These kids had the best show tonight I have ever seen here and received an instant standing ovation from a full house. Hope the next two performances go as well. (of course the sound was what made it......;) ;) :D ) After 40+ years as a professional musician, I still get the rush before a performance.

Steve, I know you are missing the old girl, but the loneliness will go away over time (like the next time you get in the new car.....:p ). Do I have this right, you want to watch TV on your computer? That is like telling the sex of a skunk. Easy to do actually, but hard to explain to anyone why you would want to.

LOL Jeffery, i'm drooling over that

Fantastic Saturday morning here, started out two below freezing now you could cook an egg on the pavement

Ray If you saw what rubbish my wife watches on the TV you'd understand,,, i actually got the PVR to record video from my older camcorder and also record old VCR tapes onto DVD.

Mornin Bill1

Mornin' Jeffrey!

Steve, understood.... I didn't know that there is much on TV except "rubbish". My TV gets turned on about an hour a week on the average. I used to watch Emeril Live quite a bit but it now consists of 5 minutes of show then they break for 8 minutes of commercials, go back to the show so he can say, "While you were gone a finished cooking up this dish and don't touch that dial, I'll show you what it looks like when we get back.....", followed by 8 more minutes of commercials. I'd much rather "play" with trains!

Morning Gents,

Last night I completed a scene I've been planning for almost two years. It's actually been done for two weeks, just waiting on getting the sign on the delivery wagon. Anyway, I posed it as a tale.

Today I start the next phase of my new layout, the backdrop. I expect this to be a challenge because even though I have an image of what I want, getting that on the wall is another matter. I would not be surprised if this stage took a couple months. But I want this layout like I want it, so I'll do what it takes. Luckily I'm not racing against Crandell.

So are you going to enlist the help of an "artist" in your family or do it yourself? I tried to convince my sister who is an artist that she should come over and "give me lessons" (meaning do it for me). She very graciously declined saying it would be much better for me to do it myself......... I know you will keep us posted when you are in your creative mood.

I look forward to seeing it if it is anything as good as the work you have done thus far.

Chip Take your time and it'll work out fine i'm sure.
had a good day watching trains today, we were in and out all day, great fun in the sun.
in between i took advantage of the sunny weather on Ebay,,, how you might aks, well it's like this, today was the warmest day of the year so far and everyone took advantage of it and went out,,,leaving some juicy train stuff without bid's on Ebay, i put some silly low bids on four items and got them all, i got three new Hornby ballast trucks and a 75 ton steam crane, great days end i would say.
Just wondering if the light will hold for another train picture on one of the return trips this evening.

I'm going to attempt it myself, although I plan to get some coaching.

Hi All ! Well weatherman was wrong again. Other day he said that no rain all weekend long well he got that one wrong. It's a raing day here. Chip perfection takes time . So I'm sure you will make it work. Steve , I hate watching Tv Only time I watch it is for a train show or a sporting event. To watch on the computer , don't know if I could do that. Well all have a nice day !

Morning gang,

Looks to be a sunny day here in the mid-Atlantic region. Outdoors-type weather, probably not much time for MRR. Hope you all get to enjoy your Sunday.

Morning Gents,

I'm not going to let something like great weather spoil my dungeon time. Got the old layout torn up and now I have to move furniture out. Hope to get the base coat on my backdrop today.

Mornin' Bill!

Mornin' Ken L!

Mornin' Chip! What color did you paint the backdrop? Just wondering how "avant garde" you were planning. :p

Another great performance from the cast and crew last night. I got home from the cast party around 12:30 this morning. Have a matinee this afternoon and will be done except for the striking of the set and equipment. I plan to sleep a lot tomorrow.........

Kind of a gray drizzly day here in the Finger Lakes should be in the mid 50's though so not terrible. Have a great day!

Morning everyone, got back from Dallas and checked out a few stores while I was down there. Picked up a nice walthers turntable, some more flex track and a very sweet undecorated 3 truck shay. Don't have any pictures of benchwork yet. I'll work on that today if I get the chance. Hope everyone has a great day.
