Good late evening, railfans.
Our storm passed through our part of Alabama without any problems except for staying up until 4 am watching the radar. Lots of action up north with four tornados on the ground at one time in Winston and Blount counties and just across the Georgia border. It was still 78 degrees at 3 am with a dew point of 71 so I'm amazed we didn't have worse storms down here. At one time, I had lightning in all four quadrants of the sky around me. From all that, we got a whopping .04 inches of rain.
Steve, sorry to hear the flu stil has you down. My garden variety cold is annoying but I'm still functioning at least.
Chris, I think all of us in the Southeast are hoping for a nice tropical storm this year. Not enough to cause any real damage or kill anyone, just enough to give us about 10 inches of rain. It's the only way we can make up this drought deficit.
Ray and Paul, sounds like you both had good days.
Larry, sports have certainly changed over the years and usually not for the better. I still like the Indy 500 though.
Rex, it was windy down here too although we still made it up to 86. I think the season of "Not quite as hot" fronts has started.

It's 62 now, very comfortable and quite a change from last night's really oppressive heat.
Let's see, dragged myself out of bed for church, then waited for almost two hours for brunch with the wife and daughters, back to church for bible study, and then took Dianna's momma out for dinner and waited another hour to get seated. That pretty well shot my day. Thank goodness Mother's Day is only once a year.
