A couple of shots of some hoppers I have been painting and finishing for another forum member. This is the 4th set of 6 hoppers I did for him. We started this project before Walthers ever announced their run of 50 foot Bethgon aluminum coal porters. Not being rivet counters we agreed that some artistic license and data editing would be needed for these shorter cars in order to use the Microscale Decals for 50 foot cars. Cars are consecutively numbered from 2600 to 2613.

New Haven HH660 pulling the string downgrade to the staging yard for transfer to the road units.

Hoppers are painted for Northern Indiana Public Service and haul coal to the electric power plant.

Nope. That's a leftover from my old KCS layout.

A day late!

I've been working a bit on this mining area on the 'left' side of my layout.
It's all 2" styrofoam, with some plaster cloth covering some of the seams. It will stay in essentially three unglued layers so it can be moved/removed easily.
