Joe~ I would have to agree with you that it would be difficult to justify painting up locos like they did in 1976, as least to the same extent that some of the smaller lines had followed along and painted theirs. Some of the Class Is such as BNSF, UP, NS, and KCS might be up for something like that though. The UP definitely does not have a shortage of Special Editions running around the country.

As for RI #652, that sounds like a pretty nice little project. Can't wait to see it.

That's a nice looking hopper Jeffrey. I like the contrast of the new hopper next to the fairly well used tanker, nice work.
