I was at the hobby store, and I picked up a can of the floquill weathering spray. I don't know how to use it?
I want to apply some light weathering for a white loading shed (HO scale).
Any tips, and help is much appreciative.
Thanks,
Michael
If you are talking about Floquil Instant Weathering I used to use it at one time. It basicaly will spray on a uniform but very see through of what I can best describe as a sort of light tan to mud color. If nothing else it dries dead flat and will kill off any shiney finish. Enough to make a building or rolling stock look like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. I would first dry brush on colors like rust, soot, or grimey black on logical places and then give the car an overall dusting of Instant Weathering to sort of blend evreything together a little. I went heavier on the bottom and lighter on the top. Doesn't look too bad once you get the hang of it.
Just like hamiltnblue said; try it on some scrap items of different colors and materials and see what works for you.
Thanks guys, I'll let you know the results...
