Snarky Old Fart (in training)
Well, howdy there internet people, and those who use beverage packs to weigh down stuff like foamboard and roadbed.
It's Troy again.
Just popped in to share:
THE END This monkey is finally off my back, so I'm celebrating with Monkey Shoulder Scotch. I woke at 4 am, made coffee, ate bacon, and powered through 4200 words before lunch. A nap was in order, then returned to take today's total to one word shy of 7,000.
Those kinds of numbers are the exception, not the rule. When writing cozy mystery, I find that mine are character driven, with the mystery secondary. No matter how much I plan the mystery plot, it ALWAYS changes because the characters change through the story.
I didn't want to interrupt my momentum by posting here.
Tomorrow and the rest of the weekend will be spent re-reading, fixing errors, and fining places to put red herrings. I might have to put a fishing lake on my RR layout, and call it Red Herring Lake or such.
