Has anyone ever been there? My gf mentioned it was near her grandfather's house. I can't really tell if the emphasis is on trains or not so I was wondering if anyone had any idea.

I really don't care to go if the emphasis is not on the trains.

Been there many years ago. It's a large model railroad, with lots of scenery and structures. I thought it was great, and I don't think the admission is very expensive so why not go and have a look?

If it wasn't a decent drive I wouldn't be worried. [Well, I'm not really worried anyway].
Sounds good though, I'll have to make it a point to head out that way.
I was there back in '90 - it's very impressive. I seem to remember that there was a railroad museum not too far away as well.
My roommate from college and I went there in 1984. It was a bit cheesy.....with the movie of the waving american flag in the background and the music playing God Bless america. We had fun laughing at some of the non scale things that are scattered about the layout. Things may have changed by now. It is a large layout. I suggest you give it a look see.
