It was leaked a few weeks ago about NS doing a heritage fleet to comemorate there railroad lineage. Well today the official announcement came out also was the drawn up images of what the ES44AC's and SD70ACe's will look like.

NORFOLK, VA. - Norfolk Southern is honoring its predecessor railroads during 2012, its 30th anniversary year, by painting 18 new locomotives in commemorative schemes that reflect the heritage of those predecessors.

I live right next to the NS tracks in northeastern, PA... Maybe time to get the camera out... LOL... As I check the trains that come by, out every day. Especially to see any different rolling stock.

Right next to ex- DL&W- Erie Lackawanna trackage... As I remember the sd 45 EL's running by our fishing hole everyday in the summer in the early 1970's.
 
Go back and look at the page again,it gives credit to the artist who drew them.:eek:

I thought I pointed that out in a post shortly after the thread was created. But I don't see that post anymore. This has happened before - I wonder if someone is deleting my posts?!?! :mad: :confused:

They are water color renderings. Very odd choice, but interesting never the less. Definitely give the modeling world something new to crank out. ;)
 
Not to Hi Jack the thread, and you can move it if you want, but i have a funny story for you guys.

The other day i was telling my Bro(who doesnt care about trains), who lives right along the NS cresent line in PA about the new NS heritage units and what they are all about. I then procede to tell him I am going to hang out at his house so I can video some of them. So yesterday I went over there for dinner and he tells me he saw a video on Tosh.O that I need to watch. While doing so his wife and son were laughing histericallycly. So he shows me the replay of the vid and it was soo funny. Here is a link to the YouTube Short vid....
