Hey fellas, Im looking for LBF's website. Anyone have a web adress for them?
Chad
LBF went out of buisiness a couple years ago. Their stuff was bought by Hubert Scale models, which is also out of business now. I'm not sure the current disposition of the old LBF or Hubert cars now. I hope someone will buy them up and continue to sell them.
Yep, both LBF and Hubert are gone. Hubert went down in a ball of flames in September of 2008, with the owner declaring bankruptcy amid a lot of complaints from consumers about ordering and paying for items they never received. There are a few Hubert cars still available at Walthers and Hobbylinc but I suspect any net proceeds will be used to pay down the debt. There were reports that Horizon was going to buy the tooling but that came to a halt when several states filed criminal complaints against both the owner and company for credit card and mail fraud.
Whew, Huberts *WAS* a rip off, I remember people saying they were leary of that buy-out...
You know I really did like LBF's stuff that they had out, BUT they had some little problems like you couldn't get the trucks to screw down enough which made the car flop back and forth. Still I wouldn't give up my three Boeing cars for nothing. I just hope someone picks up their line or Athearn or Walther's or someone good starts coming out with those type of cars that LBF made.
didn't LBF com from E&C going under, then LBF become Huberts? I thought i had read that somewhere that it was the same guy just different names.
