Oh boy! Probably one of the more challenging things that I have done. The only thing I screwed up on (so far) was the placement of the single mast. It should be high as the other two.
The middle signal is going to be interesting to wire. It’s the only one that needs to have three aspects. It will have to work with the yard lead switch. I have an idea on what I need to do. I just need to figure out how to do it. This mast will show clear, medium clear and stop.
Got 20 of the 28 cars built on Saturday. Going to try to get the last 8 done today. Hopefully buy mid week I’ll have the completed PRR signal bridge installed and working. Til then…
Well, I finally got the signals lit. But unfortunately the middle signal is going to take some time to figure out how to make it show three different aspects. I thought I could make it work with a couple of micro switches and a relay. Since I do not use tortoise switch machines or computers to run my layout this will take a little figuring out. But for now I’m very content with what I have.
Medium clear into a yard lead? Most signals into a yard I have seen are some form of slow or restricted speed, because the speeds in the yard are less than medium speed and the yards are "dark", you are leaving block signal territory going into the yard.

Here is an update on the Penn Central “I-beam” signal bridge. (I’m using photos from the one in Altoona, Pa.)
Not a difficult build but still time consuming. Using Central Valley handrails that I’m cutting to fit. Found a nice brass ladder in my parts bin. Next, I’ll have to locate where the signals will go then I can finish the hand rails. This is going to look sweet!
