Because it was of monumental intrest , the "town Houten" decided to move the building 150 metrs to the south( 300 feet)
This station was very important for the little town Houten

Something similar was done with a popular American icon structure: The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Except they didn't use a megamover to carry it, that would have been too risky. Instead, they put a series of rails, rollers, and hydraulic jacks under it and moved it really s-l-o-w-l-y (~ 3ft/hr). Anything that tall and narrow would be awfully unstable otherwise...
