Easter Weekend Photo fun 21/22/23/24 March

Time flies when you are having fun............ Ive just checked the calandar and if my maths is right, March the 20th 2008 is the 6 month aniversary of the shed arriving. Work inside started on the 22nd. To mark the occasion I have had the camera out to make a new video that shows most areas as they are todate, after 6 months progress.

This was the view inside 6 months ago.

Here are two tank cars I've weathered:

First, one of the new Atlas 20,600 gallon tank cars. Placard with UN designation 3082 signifies "Environmentally Hazardous Waste, Liquefied".

Next, an old Walthers Funnel Flow tank car that was inspired from an actual prototype photo. Placard is UN 1268, "Petroleum Distillates":

Here's the next structure I'm working on. It's the DPM Powerhouse, one of their modular buildings. This is the first modular I have built. It took a little time to square up the edges, but it built into a nice building.

These are the powerhouse before I airbrushed it with Poly-S Dirt color.

On this website, I like how this guy painted it up, Gotham Subdivision.

I'll have more pix of it in the next day.

Jos, you are the Tree God!!! :D

Nice eye-popping weathering on the tank car, mrtpls.

Here is a recent image. As if from atop a hill overlooking a siding and the descending grade into Seneca Falls, a Norfolk & Western Y6b 2-8-8-2 Mallet holds back a long heavy consist of H2a hoppers laden with coal.

Here are some work in progress photos.

The first photo is RI 712100 that I added a graffiti decal too. It is still lacking additional graffiti, weathering, and removal of the Plate C decal.

The second is a picture of (front to back) 1 of 3 new Intermountian covered hoppers, graffitied 712100, 1 of 4 new Proto 2000's, and 1 Intermountain ACF covered hopper with one graffiti decal and missing the Plate C decal. All of these lack weathering.

The third photo is a set of five new Rock Island Accurail covered hoppers that I am building. These are dated as 1999 builds and will be clean units with blue bearing paint. By mistake I added Plate C decals and those will come off. I'm waiting on additional decals to finish the opposite sides. These will also receive Dull Cote to hid the decals.

and now for something in 1:144th scale. :D

Matt, right on with those tankers! Outstanding work coming out of your shops there.

Tom, I really like your Alcos! Nice variety of freight cars, too!
