Gentlemen,
I have started framing my 4X8 layout. I am really getting excited not that I have gotten that part of the layout out of the way. Next is the plywood and then foam "forming" that I have to do. I am going to be modeling a modern era and I have been looking at a lot of structures out there for what I can use. I have noticed Summit USA has a lot of modern buildings out there but I cannot find a lot on information on them. Has anyone used these kits before and if so what is your opinion of these? I like the detail of those kits but not sure if I want to put that kind of money into something I am unsure about.

I found their website. Seems to list a bunch of products. They have some neat accessories like modern fuel pumps, parking bumpers for parking lots, etc. Pretty cool.

Eric: having modern designed structures will definitely tag the modern era to your layout, but using most any buildings will work alongside them. Think about it: how many building in your hometown are 50 years old and older ;). I believe Rixs has some modern industrial kits.

I appreciate the info guys. I have been looking at the summit stuff and pikestuff as well. I will not be able to start the layout until I return from Afghanistan in August. I will be buying alot of stff for the layout while I am gone and when I get back I will be already to start construction again.
