Ohhh wow! These are going to be a big hit. In fact, that just inspired me to model a UP Reefer Train after watching that video on their site. Im pre-ordering myself 48 of the cars, one set for myself and one set to sell when the come out :D

...Josh... ;)

I'll drop you my pre-orders here next week. These car will be a part of it, making sure nothing else amazing releases.

I'm glad to see someone is going to be doing a modern reefer although I don't "need" any but I will find a use for them.

What? Are you joking or is this real?

And what kind of deals will you have with these?

LOL nope, not joking. Thats what BLMA has set for the release date on these models, gives those who want unit trains (like me) plenty of time to pay for them LOL

As for the deals, check out my website, I added the special im doing to the home page, and all 24 roadnumbers are up and live on my site as well, http://www.maderstrains.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=35_51_152_153

Dang it takes them a year, that sucks, I can't wait that long. And they will probably get delayed just like everything else.

I plan on a few and maybe enough for a unit train. I know preorders have to be in by Sept 15th. So at around $18 thats would be $432 for the first run of 24 then wait for the next 2 batches to complete a full train.

BLMA may be having slight problems with production as Sanda Khan (one the chinese factories that they use) told them to take a hike.

Probably it will take a year since it is such a mass production and the building process may be a little intricate. I know so many hordes of people will preorder, I'm considering one or two copies for my local switcher layout thing. :)

Well they are still in the tooling part of the process so once that gets done they will have test cars made and then refine the tooling if it needs it after that it will go into the production schedule. All this takes time and a year isn't that long from start to finish.

BLMA Never did any work with SK so they were not dropped they just have a busy schedule with their current manufacturer.

I should have checked my sources before typing that. When I typed that, it was based on assumtions of other model railroaders. I just googled it and found that Craig Martyn from BLMA stated that they are relieved that they did not deal with S-K so all will be well.

Sorry!
