Will an Athearn RTR shell fit on an Athearn BB frame and running gears? If not, which frames and running gears will an Athearn RTR SD40-2 shell fit on? I am thinking of a project which includes an Athearn RTR SD40-2 shell. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have an Athearn SD40-2 that I cut the mounting tabs off the body. I simply have kadee coupler boxes screw onto the stock frame pads, which capture the body shell via the snowplows.

I've used the thin double face picture hanging strips. The one that sticks to the picture is permanent & the one that sticks on the wall is easy to remove. I use those strips between the shell & the frame & it's easy to get the shell off w/out removing everything else.
