Good morning to those with and without the ear enhancements. The wonderful wife got her 1st hearing aides in 2015 and has always had the Bluetooth. She adjusts everything from TV to in person hockey game noises on that. I also think she has a tune Tom out mode.

Family is here till Monday. Not going to see much of the trainroom. My son called me cheap after reading the DCC discussions here and especially about JMRI. He says I can buy a window based unit and make life easier for programming. We will see, cheap I have never been accused of.

Off to see my behaviorAl health not a shrink specialist. She has helped grreatly with my sleep issues

I went to do my "physical therapy", (Amazon deliveries) today and the station was closed! Last time that happened it was a network problem. AWS has it's share of troubles too. As I like to say " technology is great, when it works."

I called Amazon and they told me "wait 15 minutes, if the station does not open you are free to go with full pay", They gave no explanation, but I can do that. I waited 35 minutes and went back home.

Now I'm going to stream the show " Highlander" on Starz. I'll take $95/hour to watch a few episodes on TV, thank you Amazon! Third consecutive week I got paid to show up. No much exercise, but I'm not complaining. Especially with gas at $3.25/gallon.

I'm becoming a regular streaming wizard, not really, but I can make it work.

Changing the topic a little, anyone else getting wind?

It looks like a blizzard out of my office window, and the sun is out

Those trees are only 100' away, almost invisible. The plow drivers say they are pulling over and putting their flashers on in some places.

Mikey - Which figures are you using. I don't recognize all of the poses and some interest me.
Willie- Some are Prieser figures, but most I don't know who made them. I have bought from estate sales and train shows in odd lots for years, mostly unpainted or partially painted figures to get a variety of sizes and poses.
I'll look at some that are in storage to see if there is a name.

O.K. Folks -- I managed to spend most of the day between my Primary Doctor, the pharmacy, and then a sonogram of the heart at a different facility 45 miles away.
I just hung up the phone talking to my Primary with Kaiser a few min ago.
He informed me that I have HEART FAILURE!
We have changed a bunch of meds (again) - and added a few new ones.
That is all the information I have at this time. He is trying to get set up appointments with various folks in those departments.
That is all the info I have to pass on at this time.
Sherrel, now that you have a proper diagnosis, with the new meds, sure you'll be up and about pretty soon, after all, who else can keep these 'orrible miscreants on here in line but you. 🤣

Afternoon All,

Started with some chores then spent several hours programming CV's in all my newer locos and made individual records, then screwed a wooden box on the fascia to store them. The system I use is from Micro-Mark. Tomorrow is daughter's 43rd birthday so I probably won't make it to the train room. I think I'm just going to run trains for several days before I do anything else on the layout to catch my figurative breath and decide my next step.

Hughie- Very nice lighted scenes.

Terry- It must feel great to be free.

Sherrel- I'm very sorry to hear that diagnosis. Continuing prayers for you. I believe that's what Garry had.

IB Ken- Projects seem to grow a life of their own, don't they? o_O

Mikey- Nice job painting the figures

Guy- Cool photo.

Justin- Nice price for that hopper.

Dave- I like the backdrop. It gives the illusion of a valley beyond, and the layout is on a plateau. At least to my eyes.

Chad- What language are you using (Raspberry Pi and VNC)?:)

I hope everyone has a good night.

Afternoon all,

6 inches of snow with some drifting yesterday. Today we are sunny and back near 40°. Snow be melting.

Not much going on. Have to get the Mrs. when she calls. Did have the boy call last evening needing to get a jump as his car wouldn't start. Ended up with a new battery and new wiper blades when I got done with him. Said he was too busy to do either in the 2 weeks since I told him what he needed to do.

Good evening, all! The is blowing with gusts to 35 mph and the temps are falling. It was 80 today and it is predicted to be 33 in the morning with a feels like 27.

DCC - I use a Digitrax Zephyr. You can put 8 addresses in. I also have a throttle on :LocoNet". The most engines I have run at one time is 5. My layout just isn't big enough to run more. In normal train running I run 3, 1 passenger, one freight and one switcher picking up and setting out.
I am curious as to what I might need to use a computer.

I added the 3 light poles to Bar Mill Row as well as a goose neck to Sonny's station.

Man that’s bad I can’t touch you but I w loud like to give you a hug, at least they have diagnised it,and can, start to deal with it - I hope, better than having it and it not being diagnosed. I know we chase after you but only type in when you feel up to it,you need to priotiyse you especially until meds are in place helping, old age is a total bath, go safe.

I agree that backdrop really worked at that location. However, there were like 5 pieces, each 5 feet long that were supposed to transition together that was a bit disappointing.

Well today has been fun not
animals fed am pm I told other half to not go feed them too windy
brother south lost electricity an old telephone is working and they have a woodburner in one room so are warm
brother in law has tiles landing on the floor so his roof is not happy
sister in law in London far too scared to leave hotel
son ok but two cars at his work heavily damaged by a flying fence no one hurt
122 mile per hour in places, deaths only to people outside a couple of car passengers and a person walking near a flying roof
people have been asked to stay away from the coast trying to get spectacular photos one idiot filmed a roof leaf a lifeboat building luckily not hit by it
a London building with a material roof has a big hole not surprisingly.
we stayed away frorooms with chimneys, and the rooms with a tree near them in case it got hit, our leylsndi conifers danced the fandango, amazingly we did not lose electricity because usually if anything in this area goes wrong we are the sacrificial lamb ang get cut off to save denser populations and avoid fines.
hey ho,apparently not as bad as 30 years ago in the great storm, but not finished yet so well see
mainland Europe is taken casualties also, some poor Canadian tourist is dead, plus others, 3 together in one case.
