I have a BLI HO 4-6-2 with sound that is in need of a keep-alive. How does one go about selecting one, and how hard is it to wire in?

Recommendations and tips/advice welcome!

Depends on the sound system. Some like TCS come with them on the motherboard already. Loksound has them and so does Tsunami.

BLI Makes a thing called a GoPack that is supposed to solder to the Paragon 2 and 3 decoders. Check their web site. Look at the technical bulletins page, they show pictures where the soldering needs to be done.

Guys and gals. This coming from me seems very hypocritical as I tend to push politics when they get discussed here.

The Ukraine while they have my best hopes for them, does not belong in the diner.

I will be in the Weathering forum. Sorry if this offends folks but I get enough of Ukraine on TV and the anxiety issues I never had before 11/30/2021 because of “Covid fatigue” has reared its ugly head again. I just can’t handle it. Until the “u” prevails…

Everybody tries to tell me where to get the best crab cakes. Out of courtesy and I never pass up free food, I keep trying them.

I know where to get the best crab cakes ...my Hungarian wife makes the best Maryland crab cakes!

With Maryland blue crab meat at upwards of $100/lb I'll take all the free crab cakes I can get!
