Good Morning Everyone. Partly cloudy and 64° here in North Central Texas. Still looking at typical fall weather for the near future. The rain possibility has been moved up to tonight, but there's none currently on the radar anywhere close or even headed this way.
Back this morning to the revision specialist for my wife. He's supposed to have a result from the culture that was collected from her knee last Friday so they can proceed this Friday with whatever course we decide on today. After we return from there, I'll have to look around the estate for any tools, equipment or supplies (charcoal etc) that I should have put up before the rain. Leaving something out will ensure rain, putting it all away will diminish the chances greatly. Maybe I should wash the car!!!
Chicken fried steak, southern cream gravy and grits today, Flo. A sugar-free A&W root beer will go well with that.

Yesterday out in the train shed, I pretty much finished up Cooter's Liquor. I applied the roof and a ventilation stack. Since I didn't cut the supplied roofing paper into smaller pieces, I had to use a piece from my stash to finish it up, hence the different shade.
It will fade under the lights and won't be noticeable if I put the structure at eye level on the upper deck anyway.
Then I dull-coated it and applied the sign decals. I also added additional weathering powders to highlight some areas better. Usually Downtown Deco just supplies a sheet of paper signs to cut out and glue on; in this case there's a sheet of decals from Dave's Decals (
davart.net). This kit was originally released as "First Time Bar/Chop Suey Take Out" kit by Downtown Deco, but Dave re-purposed it and supplied decals to DD for a different kit.
And the back where I added scuppers and drain pipes over the seams.
I'm now going to look at it for a couple of days to see if there is any additional detailing or weathering that would be appropriate.
Yesterday I showed he contents of the first two bags of cast details for the Ramone's building, but hit my picture limit. Here are bags three and four.
So back to bag one, I cleaned up the castings (24 in bag 1) in preparation for priming and painting. Since this part will take a while, I decided to start early'
One of them has a slight defect in it.
No problem to fill that void in with Testor's putty which is closer at hand than silicon sealant or mixing up additional Hydrocal.
Steve J -
That track will come off the turntable and will be my program track isolated by a center-off DPDT switch. I do of course realize that the plan is very anti-prototype
Yes, programing tracks are not prototypical!

none of the other members have admitted to gluing themselves to the work table or a project.
They're not true modelers!
Still wondering why many Americans will be subject to a Covid Vaccine mandate, but 12,000 Haitians were released into our country without one???
Today is National Drink Beer Day. Although it's officially today, I celebrate almost every day. I'll have one for you if you don't partake and I'll be at home and not on the road.
Everybody have a great day. Stay safe.
