I had placed an order with Yankee Dabbler over two weeks ago for a Scale Trains SD45X. After I placed the order, I realized the city on the delivery address wasn't correct, so I contacted YD to correct it. The guy I talked to seemed pretty pissed off at me for making that mistake and told me they wouldn't be able to find my package now to make the correction. I contacted UPS to make the delivery correction, but they could only change the delivery address to a UPS drop off store. I choose a CVS drugstore near me. Now, nobody knows where the package is. UPS says I need to contact the shipper. YD says I need to talk to UPS. The online UPS tracking shows a label was made and the package is waiting for pickup at the shipper. I filed a lost package claim with UPS.
If I don't get something solid tomorrow, I'll go to my credit card and have the payment withdrawn.
In the meantime, I found that Hiawatha Hobbies had one left, but it needs a decoder. I have plenty of them in the desk drawer, so I ordered the loco. A couple days after I ordered it, I got a notice from UPS that they acknowledge the change of delivery address. I didn't change the delivery address on this one from Hiawatha, but UPS seems to think I want all future packages to me that are shipped by UPS to go to the CVS store. I don't want to make things worse, so I'll just wait and pick up this package tomorrow from the CVS store.
