Chris, Thought you were coming down to see me before the grass mowing season started?

I'm On vacation in North Carolina for 2 weeks. Jerome is going to be here Sat. & Sun. for a little BS & to pick up 4 shells for a custom paint job for me. Looking forward to meeting him.
Maybe next year before your season gets started(Chris) we can meet up someplace in-between.LOL

ya May be some train show around Tampa or St. Pete? what's the next Tampa Show......I'm off Sundays for now:o

Well Chris, the next show anywhere close to you is in march in Plant City of 2010. Maybe I can figure out a day to stop by after the Alabama gang shows up.

Good evening people

I got home to a wife sitting pleasantly going through her weaving with the cat on her lap.:):) She's got a big project on the go for a client so any time I get a honey do now is pretty quickly done----then it is off to the trainroom to stay out of the way------we are a pretty distractable pair:eek::eek: so we have our corners to hide in---:):):D:D

My DELL--ohno ohno :eek:---has yet to crash or anything and this thing got dropped twice:):) Although my predilection is towards custom building the things I would like to use. :D:D

Jim I was watching those dang things on the radar---I'm starting to think an Ark might be an idea---only 2---only 2:eek::eek:

My father and I went to Dairy Queen for dinner this evening as neither of us felt like cooking anything. When we pulled up in the parking lot we could both smell something like hot roofing tar. I looked around and saw smoke coming from under the car next to us. While my father moved his car out of harms way I went inside and notified the owner of the other car. She came out and we both checked the car over. The smoke was coming from under the rear (old model Diplomat). I looked underneath and could see that the smoke was coming from the differential and told her she'd better arrange for a ride home. In the state it was in it would probably catch fire if she were to drive it again. It looked to me as is the gear oil had dried up over the years. That thing was so hot I wasn't about to touch it. We watched it for a bit to make sure it wasn't going to burst into flames then got on with our intended purpose.

Larry, what time you getting up Saturday?? I might just leave after work around 1am. That way I can be there by the crack of dawn. Do we have any places to go take pictures of trains??? :) Gonna be about 304 miles to you, should be hours or so.

How about St, Pete? There use to be a show in Largo behind Honeywell in the armory. Terry know which show I'm talking about!

But I just wanna ride the mower around :(

Chris, I'm disappointed at you, tellin Sparky no! I'm sure he just wanted to drink a lot of beer, then get on your zero turn machine and do donuts til he hurls!!
Nothing worse than anything you have done at a party! Did you ever remember why your neighbors dog always growls at you yet???
We have the video,,,,if we must!

That's the Suncoast Model Railroad Club show. They usually have an open house at the club layout (HO and N) in conjunction with the swap meet. The club is across the street from the Minnreg building.

Evening, everyone.

Larry, what's this about the Alabama Rail Gang coming down to see you? When? I'm out of the loop on this one. You're right, of course, about just giving in and doing it when she asks. Arguing will get you nowhere. My late wife of 38 years and I had reached agreement on things like this but it's harder when you've only been married for three years. I have finally gotten to the point that she recognizes that look of a decoder not working right and to leave me alone. :)

Chris, I'm a fish lover too, so I'll keep your fish and other small animals well fed. Do you happen to keep the dogs penned up or do they roam free in the yard or house? Just wondering in case I need to bring along the pepper...err...right kind of dog food for them. I think you're being very inhospitable to Dan by not wanting him to visit. From what I heard, Dan is the only reason you didn't end up sleeping in the gutter on at least one of your visits. What possible harm could it do if he wants to drive around one of your little lawn mowers? BTW, does it have headlights? That would help when we need to make a beer run. :D

Larry, you're going on vacation too? Your place is kind of on the way to Chris's house. You don't have any big dogs or alarm systems, do you?

BOC, having your own corners to hide in is a really good thing. I'd get to work on that ark if I was you. Looks like you'll get maybe a two day break and then another front is headed your way from the Plains.

Jeffrey, good thing you were there. Sounds like she'd have a huge repair bill if not a bad car fire. Funny how some people can drive cars like that and never notice anything is wrong.

Karl, you have a point about the video and all. I'm sure that Chris would rather not having you showing that to anyone important...like his wife. :) I'm sure he'll develop a better attitude when he thinks it over.

It's another warm, calm night here in Dixie, with not a leave stirring on the trees. High was 97 today and I expect 98 or 99 tomorrow. I'm just hoping for some clouds even if we don't get rain, since it keeps temperatures down to bearable levels. I still need to get the cap seals done on the RV and this rainless period is perfect except for the inferno like temperatures on the roof. I tried it at seven this morning and have a nice second degree burn on my knee to show for it. It gets hot fast here. Since I'm a night owl anyway, I think I'll set up the work lights and give it a try about midnight tomorrow. That way I only have to fight off the hordes of mosquitoes instead of being roasted to death. :D

Larry lives 3+hour drive south from me;)! OK He(DAN) can come over but I will have a friend watch my lawn equipment! The dogs roam free! Jacob can open doors and I thinks he has a lock pick too:confused: he some how finds how to unlock doors:eek:

Mornin' guys, man I've been busy at work lately. Today I have to drive to West Virginia to fix a customers plane that can not fly to our shop. Kind of a drag but I guess it all in good customer service.

Ken; Happy really belated anniversary! How many is it for you and the better half? I am working 26 myself...:D

On the Dell subject. I have always built my own computers, the last one I wanted to build I was picking out items for the build and the IT guy at work said I should check with Dell that he was sure they had almost exactly what I was wanting to build and it might be the same price with the warranties included. So I checked them out and sure enough they had what I was wanting to build plus a few extra things and with the four year warranty it was $300 cheaper than what I was building. So I bought it and the only problem I have has was the flat screen monitor had a few bad pixels when it was new. I called then, had to do the stupid "Dell Dance", you know, try this, try that, oh okay we will send you a new one. Other than that I have had absolutely no problems for the past 6 years.

Well, guys I am off to WV, maybe I will get home early today and have some modeling time. My next step is to get some foam and try to make a mountian just for practice and see how it turns out.

Talk to you guys later...:D

Didn't Dan try to get the tractor out on to the interstate one time? I seem to remember he tried to do some stunt driving with one of Jim's neighbours tractors---:eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::D----

Dogs can get very curious about doors and opening them, can't they?;)

Hello, and good morning from the floating dock that is my backyard.

We're currently all fogged in and they are giving the 2 hour fog delays for the school buses. Temperature right now is 12C and we're going to a high of 21C.

Got a couple of clients to check up on and some office fiddlework to do today--after that it is shopping and getting some work done on the new expansion project.

Have yourselves a good day---

Good morning folks

It was 66 F and raining when I left. High will be 83 F. The ride in was interesting. When I left the homestead, a thunderstorm had just past. Half way to the office the real fun began. The sky got dark and greenish, and the lightening started. A couple of miles from the office the rain really came down. I could not see more than 10 feet in front of the car. Once I got to the office I had to make the dash across the parking lot. My umbrella is now trashed but it got me across the lot before it broke.

Last night I was running across the county. I had to take my daughter to her flute lesson. Then I had to come home and pick my son and take him to his Boy Scout Troop Meeting. Then back across the county to get my daughter and back to the Boy Scout Meeting.

Tonight my daughter has a softball game but I guess we’ll see if we are dodging lightning bolts.

I hope everybody has a good day.
