Evening, everyone.
Larry, what's this about the Alabama Rail Gang coming down to see you? When? I'm out of the loop on this one. You're right, of course, about just giving in and doing it when she asks. Arguing will get you nowhere. My late wife of 38 years and I had reached agreement on things like this but it's harder when you've only been married for three years. I have finally gotten to the point that she recognizes that look of a decoder not working right and to
leave me alone.
Chris, I'm a fish lover too, so I'll keep your fish and other small animals well fed. Do you happen to keep the dogs penned up or do they roam free in the yard or house? Just wondering in case I need to bring along the pepper...err...right kind of dog food for them. I think you're being very inhospitable to Dan by not wanting him to visit. From what I heard, Dan is the only reason you didn't end up sleeping in the gutter on at least one of your visits. What possible harm could it do if he wants to drive around one of your little lawn mowers? BTW, does it have headlights? That would help when we need to make a beer run.
Larry, you're going on vacation too? Your place is kind of on the way to Chris's house. You don't have any big dogs or alarm systems, do you?
BOC, having your own corners to hide in is a really good thing. I'd get to work on that ark if I was you. Looks like you'll get maybe a two day break and then another front is headed your way from the Plains.
Jeffrey, good thing you were there. Sounds like she'd have a huge repair bill if not a bad car fire.

Funny how some people can drive cars like that and never notice anything is wrong.
Karl, you have a point about the video and all. I'm sure that Chris would rather not having you showing that to anyone important...like his wife.

I'm sure he'll develop a better attitude when he thinks it over.
It's another warm, calm night here in Dixie, with not a leave stirring on the trees. High was 97 today and I expect 98 or 99 tomorrow. I'm just hoping for some clouds even if we don't get rain, since it keeps temperatures down to bearable levels. I still need to get the cap seals done on the RV and this rainless period is perfect except for the inferno like temperatures on the roof. I tried it at seven this morning and have a nice second degree burn on my knee to show for it.

It gets hot fast here. Since I'm a night owl anyway, I think I'll set up the work lights and give it a try about midnight tomorrow. That way I only have to fight off the hordes of mosquitoes instead of being roasted to death.
