Nice photos of CSX CW60AC 614. Your pics turned out nice and I like how you got all the details. Nice work!

God the AC6000 is just incredibly huge. Mt. Holly is that near Cary? Im so looking to get out of NJ and into the Cary area.

Oh and I won 2 more LBF skyboxes, these are for Boeing and i dont think they came with any decals. So now I gotta try and find some.

not much progress on the layout this week but I did some railfanning today around Garrett indiana and Defiance Ohio.

Nice looking engines, Don. I have this love-hate relationship with Athearn when it comes to details. They did a great hob with the truck details on that tunnel motor, for example, and then put on front handrails that look like they came from a toy train set. I also don't understand why they don't install the plow and MU hoses as well.

That weathered KCS covered hopper is a nice job but I sure like the look of the clean car better. That has to be one of the classiest freight car schmes in the last 10 years.

Eric, nice night shot. I sure wish I could see the stars like that now through all this haze down here.

Josh, where did you pick you those 'Vettes? That 1954 roadster with the removeable top looks particularly good and it's a pretty rare bird, both in real life and as a an HO scale model.

It does have the plow but it was knocked off while shipping. I just havent put it back on yet. I have two Atlas engines and agree that Athearn needs to catch up and include better detail.

Thanks! But I have to give full credit to my girlfriend, lucky thing she had her camera. We were driving about 55 down Hwy 27, and I caught it out of the corner of my eye, almost missed it:D

I think Cary is towards Raleigh, Mt Holly is just west of Charlotte. However, either way it's an improvement over Jersey :D

Here's me and my girlfriends son for size comparison. We're about 20 feet away from the CW60AC.

Super pictures and work this week everyone. Here's my contributions for this week. Having a diorama now sure makes it easier to showcase these units.

Dave, hope you don't mind, I saved those pics to my HDD, I'd like to model one CSX CW60AC...

Hi Josh,
I can just see the Drag Races beginning and remember well when they first came out, even third gear scratch was no problem! Of course they didn't have
the the higher grade rubber compounds we do today with a lot more traction.

How have you been?

Take care
Me? I've been great, working allot though.

Any chance you got a shot of the old white weed sprayer car there?

Jerome, MAN that was some FASt, crafty, handy work, that looks awesome!

I was hoping to see that...Josh beat me to it in asking about it! Thanks for sharing! Tell your girfriend "2 thumbs up on here photogs"!!!!!!!!!!

Josh, Rotor,
The car is on the Old Indiana Hi Rail tracks in Defiance Ohio. I'm not sure the car is a weed sprayer. I have some more pictures from about 4-5 years ago but they are slides. I'll see if I can't get them scanned in. It is on tracks, but all of the short lines tracks are in very poor condtion. in the late '90's they had a good thing going But Indiana Hi Rail went bankrupt and the trackage in Defiance is opperated as the Mamee and Western, I think, They have a few customers in town but the tracks each way out of town are over grown. they interchange with CSX.

ANother great weekend of work and photos !!! BTW Josh I love that 63 vette great lines , don't know why Chevy ever messed with that design @@@@

MDCustom, fantastic work on that depot and dispatcher's office. The packed dirt platform is right on.

Nice shots. Dave. Am I the only one that thinks that AC6000 is both the most impressive and one of the ugliest engines ever built? At least you wouldn't get wet in the rain standing under that rear patio cover. :)

Joe, great trrain shots. I spent two years of youth in Defiance. It was a B&O town back then. How things have changed. Pretty amazing to see units from all the western roads in Ohio. I don't know what that white boxcar thing is but it sure doesn't look like a weed sprayer. If it is, they've removed all the spray bars and tanks you'd normally see on one.

Jerome, nice engines on that diorama. They do look better when you've got something railroady to display them on. :)

Called in sick today, started cutting back some Maxi-III wells. This will end up being a BNSF car, like the prototype attached.
