Hi Everyone. Here you go Flo. I cashed in my empties so I could pay ya. Thanks for trusting me.

Carey: You got it! Thanks for the heads-up on my wallet. I figured that's where it was. I never noticed just how big her......eyes are. LoL

RT: So what are you saying? That the Boss robbed the cradle? 71 years, everyone should be so lucky. Tell 'em Johnny said Congrats!!!

Rex: How did your second Friday go? Mine was GREAT.

See you all in the funny papers.

Goodnight from Wisconsin

Johnny

'Evening guys n' gals,

Had a fairly decent Friday - I got to meet my friend Duke from the 'big' forum as he passed thru my area, so I took him to the B&O Museum. Since he's a native Michiganer like myself, I figured it would be highly appropos to pose for a snapshot beside a C&O H-6:

KenL ... After talking it over with the CFO I've come up with a better place to build another layout. I was going with HO for a second layout, but now it looks like O scale. Got to much invested in O to quit now.

WOW Stan, so you're making the leap from Nvisible to Oversized - that must be one GIGANTIC train room you acquired!:D Hope you'll be running some SR hi-hood "tuxedoes" on it, that was always one of my favorites!

Rex and the rest of you 'Bama guys - may the best team win!;)

Steve - hope you feel better soon, I was wondering why I hadn't seen you around here these last few days...

RT - 71 years of marriage!? That's more than the typical life expectancy for males on my father's side of the family!

Johnny - I hear those Little Voices too, I just need to find the right CV to disable them.

Hi Fergie! Glad you could stop by. Your next cup is on me. I think you will like the company here and the great setup of this forum. Get ole Teffy over here for a visit.

KenL: Is that your new lawn mower behind you in the picture:D. Man, I would love to see that beauty. Oh, we Bama fans need some help with all the finger crossing you can give.

Johnny: Boy, I had a great second Friday:p . CjCrescent came over and we did a little work on the layout, played trains, and did a lot of lying as usual. We went at it for 9 hours this time.

Steve: Hope you get to feeling better soon. Sounds like you have had it rough.

Look Boys! It's the Antique Road Show!

Sorry I couldn't resist!

Fergie

Fergie! Outstanding to see ya here man! Better be careful, that H-6 may get mad at you for calling him an antique!!!

Rex: A LOT of lying???? Don't ya think that's being a little conservative???

Rex and I did have some great fun, good coffee, a couple of killer ham sandwiches over in T-town today!;) I think we set a record for the length of a work session where we got nuthin' done!

Grande man: I didn't even run the Challenger into the pit this time either! I never got the chance! Rex won't let me play with his trains anymore, at least not until I finish painting his house!:( :( :( (Somebody say sumpin 'bout lies????)

Rex had just finished up a nice little chunk of scenery that gonna knock yall's socks off fellas.:) :) Fantastic work!! If he hasn't posted any pix in WPF by Sunday I personally will! Trust me fellas, you'll like what you see. The water effects HAVE to be seen to be believed! (Now, of course, if he had done it like I told him to, it would've been a LOT better):D :D

Great work Rex!!!

Ok fellows! You want to see why I get nervous when Carey runs a unit from my stable?
And would you believe this guy has been operating trains for over 40 years, a lifetime NMRA member, a present officer in the Regional NMRA, and just shy of an MMR.

Check out the pit.
His excuse: "I called it up and...and...it...it just creeped right on out there. It was only set on one"

Morning all, coffee to go please. I'm on my way to work. Got to get off in time for the ball game !!
KenL - I'll still have a N scale layout. Tell you about the new train room later.
Fergie - Welcome to the forum, I think you'll like it here.
Got to go.

Everyone have a great day. ROLL TIDE.

Stan.

Morning everyone, not much MRR on my radar screen for this weekend. I still need to figure out whether to build or buy the 2 turntables I'll need. Looks more and more like scratchbuilding, since I just found out that my hot water heater is dying!

Ken, Cool pic!
Thanks Eric, that was the only place on the museum lot that wasn’t obscured by parked automobiles! And we weren’t about to pay $14 admission to get “inside” for only a few minutes.

Morning everyone. Hi Flo, why the tears? OH MY GOD, who delt that? Prop the door open. Just some coffee and a respirator please.

Well Madison Will never be the same. I went, I saw, I kicked some derri'ere. Sorry Flo I forgot we were in mixed company. I think we can close the door now too, we're letting the flies get away.

KenL: It's CV219 and set the value at bibity-bibity-boo. Lets pretend for a moment that I've never seen you in a police line-up, which dude are you?(NIce Photo by the way).

Rex: Excellent! Glad you are admitting too that lying thing. I knew going to meetings would help. 9 hours of therapy is good for anyone. and because of your strength......I can make my first step.

Here goes; Hello Everyone, My name is Johnny, and I am a Liar. I need your help to become better and more proficient at it. There I feel better already.

Have a great day Everyone! Hope you don't mind me too terribly.

Johnny

Morning all. I'm hungry. Sabrina, how bout three eggs scrambled well, bacon, buscuits and hash browns? Oh yeah, don't forget the usual pot of java, please.

CJ, Glad ya'll had a good time in T town. I gotta see the scenery work Rex has been doing! You've run the anticipation way up!

Rex, Let's supersize that one... :D

Ken, Sorry to hear about the water heater. I got so focused on building a staging yard that I didn't quite leave room for ours to come out if (when) it goes out. Not to worry though, some minor mods and a jar of Vasaline should do when the time comes. :D

Stan, Off to work, huh? Well, have a great day anyhow.

LGM and I had a fun time hanging out last night. His Mom and Sis are out of town so I gave him an early Bday present, Green Frog's Rio Grande Odyssey. We made a super pot of chile, built a small fire in the woodburner and watched the Grande in action. We ran a few trains in the intermission between vol 1 & 2...:)

Sabrina, scratch that order, uh, I gotta go...:D

Good Morning Crew

Well this is an interesting site and by the looks of it it will take some time for me to navigate all the ins and outs. Feel free to give me a guiding hand if there are topics/discussions of interest.

For those who don't know me, (And by the looks of it there are a lot of familiar faces here) I hail from Nova Scotia and have been MR'ng for the last 10 years on a steady basis. Before that I did the Lionel and basic HO as a kid and teenager.

I'm into HO Steam and have a "L" shaped layout, which measures about 10x 22 and is based on the Sydney & Louisburg Railway and the last days of steam. The layout is freelanced so you'll find several steamers of various sizes and liveries. The name of the Railway is the Musquodoboit, Eastern Shore & Sydney (MESS for short) For those who are trying to pronounce the first name it sounds like Muskadobit.

So as I'm the new kid I guess I'll be buying this one.

Regards

Fergie

Uh-oh GM! Hopefully your WH is a 12-yr one with plenty of time left on it, by then maybe you'll be working on your 2nd layout...

Fergie, there is a guy named Willis ("CBCNSfan") who hails from your region, I think he's one of the moderators. Models transition era.

What I always do when I first get to this site is click the Active Topics option on the bar menu near the top. Then click the time-interval [6 hours, 12 hours, last day, etc.] for the most recent postings.

If you scroll to the very BOTTOM of a page, you'll see the Forum Jump drop-down list, where you can choose a particular sub-forum by category.
