Anybody here interested in European History? This AP class is really starting to get on my nerves....

Awww...now I gotta pay for the next round too. :-( LoL

Hi Stan, glad to see someone here. I guess everyone has the Monday blurs.
Flo, I will have a quick cup of joe please and a medium rare rib eye, baked potato w/sour cream, and lemon pie for dessert. Yum! Yum!

Just finished pouring the final application of EnviorTex on my creek bed. Man, it is stressful to use something like this. Once it's down...it's down for good. No going back and changing it.
I (crossing fingers) believe it is going to turnout ok.

Where is everybody?
Yep. Monday Blurs, that must be what it is. It's what I have anyway!

I went to the eye doc today, and during the read-the-charts-take-contacts-out-put-contacts-back routine, I must have irritated my eye or dislodged a tiny bit of mascara that somehow grew to the size of a boulder and stuck under my eyelid. Anyhow, I'm outa here for tonight.

Sabrina I'll have a couple of eggs scrambled, bacon, rye toast, a couple of bisquets with dryed beef gravey and an extra large glass of Milk. Looks like I missed a good football game last night. The Colts finally won in Foxboro and Peyton finally beat the Pats. YEAH I guess. I did not watch the game because I get to excited at tiems and then cannot sleep that is why I am up at 2:45AM cause I got to thinking about the game and had to see who won. LOL LOL

Garfield was right!

Good morning y'all,

What I had on Monday was worse than just the 'blurs' - it was highly unpleasant, I just wanted to crawl into bed when my to-do list was finished. Hopefully today will be an improvement.

Nate, I must confess, I'm more interested in American RR history.;)
I never said I was interested in AP Euro, but it's the only AP class I could get this year. The rest come next year (AP American History, AP English, Advanced Physics, AP Biology, etc. etc.).

Hi everyone! Glad to see everyone has perked up a bit. We just celebrated my Mother's 90th birthday with a small party for her. She sure had a good time. My Dad was only a month shy of his 90th. I wish that it was a good sign, but if I don't quit smoking, I will never make it.

Claudia: I feel for your agony. I once got bits of steel in one of my eyes and it drove me up a tree for a week.

Eric: I am hoping to have enough done on the creek area by this weekend's photo post to show the water. I still have to figure out the wave look using gloss medium on top of the EnviroTex. (Another nerve racking task.)

Ken: I sure don't know what was on you to-do list for Monday, but judging from your comment, I don't want to know:eek: :D .

I don't know about Ken, Rex, but after I finished my list, I was so tired I didn't even want to go down to the club meeting and see one of our old members in town from up Nawth on business. I slept from about 4-8, watched part of the game between catnaps then slept from about 10 to 7:15. Was almost late to work!!!

I've been so tied up in computers (interesting visual, that) that I've barely touched the layout in the past couple of days.

I really need to dig out some detailing stuff, and I think I'm still missing a box of buildings and whatnot from the move.

I also need some paint....

Hi all. I'll have a Coke and a piece of coconut cake, Flo.

Just stopped by to say hello.

Rex, looking forward to the pics!

CJ, hope you catch up on the rest. It sounds like you're trying.

Jeff, hope you can find some RR time soon.

For anyone that's interested, I just listed a slew of Bowser HO steam kits, and another slew of O Roadrailers and highway trailers. I'm also going to be listing more odd-ball Stewart hoppers and some more 'large lot' ore car auctions, hopefully tomorrow evening.

I wish I had more time to spend on the store...I think I could move a lot more if I just had more time to obtain / list / process / ship all the orders. I don't want to overdo it, because I like to keep up with everything (I generally ship an order the day after I receive a payment), but at the same time I feel like I could be doing a lot more. Some days I don't do anything, and then there are days like yesterday where I had 9 seperate transactions to process and ship. This is almost like work   :D

</business plug>

Anyway, the basement is coming along nicely. It's a 20-ish x 20-ish block room that sits under an addition off the back of the house. We're finally getting around to finishing it, mainly because my family wants to put a car back in the garage (what a crazy idea!?) and all of my stuff is in the way. We kinda went overkill on the wiring (5 drops with power / network line / voice line / cable and another 5 with strictly power), so it took a little bit longer than expected. We're ready to insulate now though...I'm just "itching" for this weekend to arrive :D . Then it's drywall, a drop ceiling, some paint, and an epoxy floor finish....hopefully we'll get that far by Christmas  . There is one interesting feature...a large steel I-beam runs down the center of the room (you have to duck if you're over 6') which forms a perfect ledge for HO track  . Hey, if I can't have a full-blown layout, I at least want to have something to set my personal collection on.

Just a lemonade for me tonight, Sabrina dear. Gotta take my meds and go to bed.:p Just had a couple weeks hard module building that I finally finished yesterday. Building something under a deadline is not fun. Now I remember why I quit custom painting after all those years. I hate deadlines!;)

Rex; Gotta a propositon I'm working on, and guess what? It ain't that expensive either. When I come over Friday we'll discuss it and proceed from there. I think you'll like it! At least I hope so!

Sab, I'll have a large coffee, OJ, sausage and 2 eggs over easy...

Good morning all,
I'm helping to get my house ready for out-of-town visitors next weekend so no MRR on my radar screen at the moment. There's a "severe t-storm" alert in effect for Maryland thru tonight, hopefully we won't be hit with the kind of nastiness that occurred in soutern Indiana...

I really envy you guys [CJ, Rex, GrandeMan] in Alabama, living close enough to visit each other. All my online MRR friends live hundreds of miles away, while the local ones "don't need" internet forums.

Have a great day everyone!

Say, Did somebody find my wallet? I'm not worried about the cash, I'ts that darned Drivers License photo that's got me concerned. A Yahoo and a cow-pie to go please. And could you put that on my tab?

Since you asked, I'll tell you what's going on in the shops today. We are finishing up a set of Proto2-K E-7's. A and B units. When they came to us they had seen better days. CB&Q, broken safety appliances, rat infested, low on fuel. You know the drill.
they have been stripped and repainted into the PROUD CNW scheme. Some of you may be saying "But the NorthWestern didn't have E-7 'B' units". To this I say, they didn't? Whoops! Oh well, may as well leave 'em. They look so cute.

I'll post 'em When they're done.

Thanks for the Cow-Pie!

Johnny

enjineerbill, I wish you were close by to run some trains with us and give a little "real world" perspective to all the things I'm sure we do that aren't prototypical.:o

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a good'un. For those of you in the Mid-West over to the East, watch out for all the rough weather.

Flo, I think I will have an early lunch. Just give me what's good for today.

Rex; Gotta a propositon I'm working on, and guess what? It ain't that expensive either. When I come over Friday we'll discuss it and proceed from there. I think you'll like it! At least I hope so! Gotta warn you CJ, I ain't cheap.:D

Ken: It is a real pleasure having forum buddies near-by. Being able to see and talk in person to "one of us" adds a personal touch to an already wonderful experience. There are a few more out there that we need to recruit in our round-robin visits.

Grande man: I'm with you in saying it's nice to have Enjineerbill on board. It will be great drilling him about the "real" trains:) . His photos have already shown his excellent skills in modeling.

Enjineerbill: Don't worry about the NW not having E7 "B" units. In your new little world, you are fixing what they should have done...right?.;) :D

Edit Note: I almost got caught using "g" instead of "j" in your enjineerbill. Real tricky! :D

Ha! :D I may have to borrow that line sometime, Rex.:D

OK I found my wallet, It was in my wife's purse. Please don't ask what I was doing in there. Flo, I'll have what Rex is havin, and give Grandeman whatever he wants and put it on my bill.

Believe me guys, It is MY pleasure to be so readily accepted in the forum. I have spent hours surfing the site and am amazed at the work that is being showcased. One of the things I really want to learn is weathering. I found a couple of clinics and, rest assured, I will be going to class soon.

Grandeman: Prototype IS what you make it. When I ran Trains for the WC I never dreamed that one of "our" DM & IR tunnels would wear CN colors. We ran SD 45's Long hood forward to avoid the decrepit(No Offense Intended)comfort cab NS units we had in consist. I thank you for making my stay here comfortable.

You guys are a hoot. And I thank you for your invitation to bring my trains over to play. I would if I could but I think I'm grounded(the purse thing) for now.

Rex: The Floweres are wonderful, I'll give the chocolates to Flo. What, Me Worry? Never, not even when I thought I left my wallet in here.A few things in " my little world":

No one gets laid off
It only rains on scenery day
I don't ALWAYS need a track warrant
Everyone waves and says Hello
There is NO crime(well, if you discount some of my models)
The Boss is always right-and EVERYONE is the boss!

Go head, Drill me. I love telling "war" stories. There were(are)quite a few characters on the WC, myself included. For some of us the only way to survive was to find humor in the situation. And believe me I had some situations. Thanks Rex
