Morning all. 57 F-degrees heading to 88 today.

Sleep wasn't the best last night. Awake in the middle for piddles, and then couldn't sleep after 4am

Tried the recliner. Meh.

Now that I have coffee, I'm tired again.

Sciatica is acting up. Hitting the Teeter table and doing my nerve flossing.

Heading to the game store this morning. Going to try a new army, the one I've been painting with the undead Byzantine legionnaires. It'll be weird, the army gets more powerful, the more of it you kill. Then the priest resurrect what you killed off. Then you kill them, then they resurrect again...

Good Morning All. Clear and 62° out here in the middle of nowhere. Same forecast as the last few days, for the 10 day outlook. Highs in the low-90's, lows in the mid-60's, low humidity, light favorable wind, and clouds only Monday night.

Got most of the north side of the property mowed yesterday, maybe 1/4 acre left for this afternoon. Did laundry and stacked another week's worth of firewood. That's about 1/8 cord of wood. Grilled a Ribeye steak for super and made marinated mushrooms to go with it. Wife made a Green Pea salad. A handful of raspberries completed the meal. Tonight is Baby Back Ribs and Broccoli/Cauliflower salad.

UPS is now scheduling my ScaleTrains delivery for Tuesday, a day later than originally set. OK though. When I pre-ordered in February, the ETA was November, so they're actually early.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I repaired a few more cars that have been parked on a storage track out of the way. Minor stuff like drooping couplers, missing grabirons and missing Kadee coupler springs. Had to dust a couple of tankers off. According to my maintenance records, most cars need a cleaning/dusting once every 7-8 years except black tank cars. They usually get it about every 3 years. It isn't noticeable unless I touch them and leave a finger mark!

Louis - Good to know that Angela has improved. Thanks to your loving care.

Let's all wish Brigitte Bardot a happy 91st birthday today.

Everyone have a great Sunday today.

Good morning all!

Another warm day in store. Currently 65F heading up to a high of 88F. Summer is holding on a little bit longer.

Volleyball yesterday was really fun to watch. It was a long day with having 5 games to play. The girls did a great job
against mostly bigger schools. We ended up winning 4 of the 5 games. I still don't understand how the ranking went.
Somehow the first pool only went 2 sets and went off total points. Even though we went 4-1 we ended up 5th over-
all. Someone tried to explain it to me, but I still don't quite understand. There were 15 teams total.

Not sure what today will bring. Probably a grocery run and some laundry. Yard is close to needing mowing but I may
hold off till mid week. I haven't had to mow for 2 weeks now and its kind of nice.

Hopefully some train time tonight, been a while since Ive gotten down there.

Have a safe day everyone!

Hello from Wisconsin. It’s 57 and clear heading to a nice 80.

Bad night sleeping or actually trying to sleep. Tossed and turned from the beginning at midnight. Got out of bed and read for an hour. Went back to bed and tossed and turned till 2:15. Headed downstairs with a pillow to my cave chair and that didn’t work. You get the picture. Seems though I slept from 5:30 or so to 8:20. Now trying to clear out the cobwebs! Soccer at 10:30 with a major detour I have to drive to get there. A 10 minute drive per Maps today looks like 25 minutes. Lots of farm land to drive by.

After soccer we have the grandkids. Parents are heading to the Wisconsin Dells to the Wisconsin Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner. The next door neighbor before this move in August is being inducted but this time as a High School Coach. She’s already in as a high school and college player

Lunch after soccer is wherever the grandson wants to go except 5 Guys. That’s out this week as he’s been there 2x this month already. He finished hockey try outs last night. I texted him around 9:30 after he got home and asked. He said had fun but everything was very basic because they are trying to see if anyone stands out doing the same drills over and over. Said he did notice the last hour the drills were in groups of 6 and his group were the very good. The daughter said no parents were allowed in either tryout rink, just the lobbies yesterday and the windows on the rink doors were covered in paper. I bet that pissed off a few of the helicopter sports parents. Didn’t bother the daughter as she said her and about 20 other mothers of the 11-12 age group were outside tailgating the 2 hours. She did say many dads were ticked off though. There were 52 kids the daughter said in his age group to fill 4 teams. The A level team takes 13 not including the goalie. There are 5 goalies in this age group, 4 are girls. Goalie try out days are today and tomorrow night.

We went out last night and lost 80 minutes or so we will never get back. A Visit to Portlandia might have been good but. We no longer get preference in seats as we stopped our theater subscription and lessened our donations to the Overture Center for the Performing Arts in Madison after 13 seasons. We were way up in the balcony which were fine seats but we were right of stage and the sound was angled to the center of the seating. Terry is hard of hearing anyway. The parts we could hear were good and mostly funny. It’s a show really for die hard (Terry) not casual fans like me. Oh well!

It maybe a long day for me…

We went out last night and lost 80 minutes or so we will never get back. A Visit to Portlandia might have been good but. Having worked in downtown Portland, from about 2003-2012, it was just "weird" and hadn't entered its "crap hole" phase (about 2019).

Portlandia was pretty darn accurate for the early-mid 2000's.

It is easy, you won't have any problem.

From my experience expect to pay close to 25% in fees. They have a new feature "promote your listing" Avoid it if you can. If you see you are not getting any traffic then use the promotions, but it has a separate fee. Even with the extra fee you should pay close to 30% on fees.

It is great to see you, old friend! How are the Doggies?
I think I may use the forum here and a couple of other sights and try to avoid the fees. What a rip off. Thanks!

Good morning, all! Another low humidity day here in H-Town. Temperatures are still in the 90's though. It appears to be a lazy Sunday. Maybe a football game. Maybe the Texans can throw away another game.

I traded in the 180 foot model for something that was faster and easier to handle,

I did get to spend about 2 and 1/2 hours running trains yesterday. I finished setting out cars that I started 2 or 3 weeks ago.

TomO - Birthday wishes to Terry
Louis - Good to hear Angela is doing better.
AuburnCentral - There is a guy on Ebay that has some pretty good models of USCG boats. I actual was able to give some input to his 40 ft utility boat. It is N scale. I'm not sure if he has HO models.

Good Afternoon All!

I started going through the buildings ( 3 uHaul boxes ) Chet gave me yesterday and trying to repack a little more condensed. I will post in RPO additional pix... Chet's extra bedroom or office is a little lighter. He still has some engines and rolling stock I suspect he wants to find a new good home for. He will tell you more about that...

In the below pix, he pulled the water tower out and said 'you can rename it if you want'. Geesh, said I, I will have a town called Logan with some of your buildings in it, the others spread around as necessary ... he grinned.

I did get 1/2 quart freezer baggie almost full with parts and pieces that have come loose. Now the hunt goes on... Ya, ya, my head in all the pix... Maria was funny. I did not expect the reaction I got from her. She picked up each and every item and looked at it all sides, top and bottom and made comments. She looks to be pretty good on matching loose pieces with the parent...
