Good Morning All!
58F @ 67% with flash and boomers later, rain maybe after that.

Found this on another forum and am still giggling:
“When I die I want to go quietly in my sleep like my grandfather. Not screaming in terror like his passengers."

Everything I was planning to do got preempted. Expedition passenger door no workie from the inside ... again. Put in a brand new regulator two months ago for the same reason. I will get to cuss and fuss for awhile of which you may even hear me from your seat. Stoopid plastic parts. Hoping that I can jury-rig it without having to remove as I don't want to spend yet another $80 on a new one. Time will tell on that one.

Looked at Jaz's latest post and realized how much I missed her weathering techniques.

Good morning, all! A very overcast morning, but the temperature is 78. Sometime today a cool front is to pass giving us not necessarily cooler temps but lower humidity. Dew points predicted in the low 50's.
I did run a few trains yesterday. Pulled out all the hoppers I could find and made a pretty decent coal drag.

Terry - Good thoughts
Jaz - Welcome back.

Over the years, I have found that if you stick with the Pro versions, things are at least a little better. Had W2000 Pro, XP Pro, W7 Pro, and currently W10 Pro.
Currently, I'm running 11 Pro vs. 11 Home, which is what's on the train room laptop. If I wasn't such a hard headed soul, I would have switched to a Mac a long time ago.
Little difference between 11 pro and 11 home, from what I can see, just some security thing I ended up disabling.
Short list of critical win 11 deficiencies should be the way file manager handles your data, if you choose not to use MS One Drive, cloud etc. Even though I have one drive disabled, it still tries to upload my data to it. Then there is a host of other annoyances, some that may be attributed to the Intel processor.

Those of you that model grain operations, steel mills, chemical manufacturing, etc may find this company's products of interest. I had never heard of them before, but someone mentioned it to me if I REALLY wanted to build a prototype feed mill operation.

Oh yeah. I used lots of Kevin’s products in my Paper mills. Good guy

Thanks for sharing this link. I had no idea they existed either.

Looks like an industrial layout builders dream.

I just got lost for 20 minutes looking through their products.

Just stepped out from church and the sun is shining and it started raining. I guess right above us is a rain cloud but blue and scattered clouds is all I can see. My neck doesn’t work so well looking straight up.

Prayers for Terry (bnsf971). May it work out.

Welcome back from Jaz.

Time for a nap.

Didn't happen to see a rainbow. Its always nice to catch one, especially a Sunday.
It rained a bunch more during the nap though looking out the window now I mostly see blue through the one window. And sun on the ground.

Don’t see any rainbow. Not enough rain before the nap and probably missed any during the nap.

I agree they are nice and particularly apt on Sunday.

Oh! I’d appreciate that but there has not been much posting there since your hiatus! But there has been some good discussions. Both the wife and I had some health issues (both of us are great now though) and trains took a back seat. I’ve cut back on commission work big time but still do some for regulars, friends and forum members here! The modeling spirit has been mostly gone but occasionally rears its head.

Don’t be a stranger as I don’t think anyone here hasn’t missed you! Be well
Well I hit your thread god help it I only read one page so far grins i then littered it with my thoughts on your posts life is life there’s ups and downs the good thing is you and your wife’s health is on the mend and you are still strolling along with the hobby is does not have to be a race a jag a meander the important thing is you still 😊 love it

Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those wondering if Jaz will grace the coffee shop with her presence any time soon?

You all need to make sure you put on clean shirts, and stop scratching the nether regions if we have a lady show up here again. No more burpin' without covering your pie holes... and save the noise from the other end for when you walk outside!

[looks around] gotta get this place respectable again!

Positive Vibes heading out to Terry! Good luck with whatever it is.

Not much to report from here. Weather wise, we're cool today, but will warm up for Fake Summer.

The pool directly outside out unit's front door will stay open through the 15th. Since our condo complex has 4 pools, they'll close ours, and one other in a week. The other two will stay open until end of the month, or until it's obvious that it's not going to get warm enough. One of the pools has only seen sunbathers, or the die-hard gotta-exercise lap swimmer.

We've been here five years and my wife has gone to the pool less than once a year. I only go to chat with the maintenance guys when they're working on it, or testing the chemistry.

Heading off to the game store later this morning. Will report back later.
I will say unto you all as I say to my other friends my dad was in the army my husband was in the army there is very little in life that offends me…. I will run a mile when someone bumburps and warn you all to do likewise when I do grins

My morning beat everyone's today. I had to get a urine sample from Sugar. Snuck a pyrex measuring pitcher underneath as she squatted and transferred her piss to a sample container. I'm sure the neighbors that saw me got a good laugh.

I think I caught the gastritis in time. It's definitely getting better with the omeprazole, no chocolate, caffeine, sugar, or spicy foods. My body is going into shock from the lack of those things.
Is sugar a pet or your girlfriend because my imagination is flip flopping between the two

Yes! Jaz is around here somewhere. Welcome back.

Good morning gang!

68° with sun poking through an overcast sky, heading to the mid 80s today. Missed the WMRHS meeting last night. A scratchy throat started yesterday just after lunch, by 5 pm I could barely talk! I stayed home with some hot chicken pot pie for dinner. Wife has been fighting a sinus infection for a few days, I think the bug jumped to me cuz she feels better. Still, writing this I am at work until 2pm. I can feel like crap here or at home, but I get paid for feeling bad here.

We have Windoze 10 at work and at home. I bought a refurb mini tower with Win11 on it for the layout when the old unit died. I hate it, no I loathe it. Trying to do anything on it is like reaching around your elbow to scratch you ass. Gonna keep my Win10 machine til death do us part.

My phone is so old it won’t update past 10 am I bothered not hardly although the battery sometimes runs out faster than I’d like shutting all the apps helps 🙄 doh
