Down to 10mm?

It's a challenge. Picture zombies (walking dead style) with outstretched emaciated arms.... The supports will be thicker than the arms. It's .... challenging to say the least.

Here's the fantasy/medieval 10mm version of the zombies/ghouls. the small size is the reason it's multiple figures on one strip. Easier to print. Notice how everything looks "chonkier" than normal...

I can play with individual STLs, but it'll be a lot of vat cleaning after failed prints to get it semi correct.

Does resin require more supports than PLA? If you send me a sample stl, I'll play with it.

51°F/48°F this morning at 0630. A crisp morning for certain. Expected to be 72°F today and is going to be one of the last nice days. Wednesday, the temp is supposed to be 89°F and then top 90°F by the end of the week and beginning of the week after next. I can put up with a nine-day stretch as summer comes to a permanent close.

Starting on the 19th, temps will be back in the 70°F and falling. Can't wait.

You all have a great Sunday.

Good morning everyone. Terry best thoughts on whatever turmoil is happening. JazA if your here say hi, we all have greatly missed you.

Weather, So Central Wisconsin is 43 but feels like 43, is again sunny but with calm winds it shall be a nicer day than yesterday. High later will be 63. The pool here ( at daughter’s place) is open and was used after the slot car racing yesterday. Solar panels heating the pool though are what extends this one. It’s not enclosed and should stay available through October.

The racing yesterday and than nanny for 12, 10, 11 and 12 year olds was exhausting to us 4 grandparents but the single mom who also showed up really helped. There were many best parts of the day though. The pool from 3 to 7 greatly helped with the 2 girls watching the pool.

Just saw a scroll on the money news. USPS stats show deliveries are down 60% since 7/1 with the elimination of the $800 rule.

The grandson has Soccer in 45 minutes, again at 2:45 and if they win on the turf field in the stadium at around 8pm. He and 3 teammates missed yesterday’s game because of the slot cars. In a email my SIL forwarded the coach sent last night he was furious yesterday. Seems 6 of 15 players missed yesterday’s and he’s telling the parents that’s uncalled for. The team played 9 on 11 and still won. In a reply email from a parent he threatened the coach with legal action if he retaliates against any of the missing 6 players. They all supposedly told the coaches they would not be there yesterday but he scheduled the game anyway. This could be a long year.

Not sure how I will handle today, not sure I want to get cold for the 1st game this morning.

Enjoy the day

Some of those figures look like me first thing on a morning.

Good Morning All. Cloudy and 72°. Mid-80's and no rain for a few days and then warmer and no rain for another week. Looks like we're in store for a La Niña winter here, which means a warmer and drier winter than average. Can't really get any drier than our other seasons!

I guess that I won $2 in Powerball last night...it was the $2 that I didn't spend!

It almost dried out enough to mow yesterday, I'll get to it this afternoon. I did use the weedeater in some critical areas though. First, probably after church is the dishwasher again, after running last night

Out in the train shed yesterday, I continued to run trains. When I moved some covered hoppers away from one of my grain elevators, I noticed that the door was missing!

There's no telling how long it's been missing. I looked everywhere within a 3' radius and could not find it! Maybe I never installed it! So I found a door on a sprue from one of Walther's modular wall kits, and decided I could fabricate what I needed from it.
1757249481157.jpeg

A bit of trimming with the razor saw and I had it.
1757249544398.jpeg

A bit of touch up paint to cover the cut plastic edges and it now has a door.

While not a perfect fit, the view will be blocked by a covered hopper most of the time.

Dave - For what it's worth, frost can form with the air temperature as high as 40°. Air temperature is typically taken at 6' above ground level and the colder air settles near the ground, thus allowing frost to form. Still a good move to keep it to yourself.
Marlin -
The safety feature when it comes in contact with human skin is probably a plus for those of us in the 60+ crowd
Makes me wonder who tested it for them?
John - Printed all over Amazon boxes is the statement that their box contains less material. But using a box that's 10x bigger than the product kinda negates that whole thing. I have gotten many outlandishly oversized boxes from them.
Terry - Positive vibes coming your way from me.
Troy - Does it really matter if the zombies look "chonkier" than normal??? They are zombies after all.

Today is the late Buddy Holly's 89th birthday. Doesn't that make you feel old?

Everyone have a great Sunday.

Good morning all!

Currently 53F heading up to a high of 68F. A few degrees warmer than the last several days. Should be a nice day to get out and get a few more fall things done. Looks like the warmth will return mid week into next week with a few upper 80s. Summer may not be quite over yet.

Yesterday volleyball tournament was so-so. They lost the first game in 3 sets and looked flat and sloppy. It was a smaller school that they should of handled easily. Being that they had to be up at 4:30am to be at the bus at 5:40 could of been a big part of it. They did regroup and win their next 2 games.

Not sure what is on the agenda for today. There is laundry already started. The Saturday grocery trip will be today since we were away most of the day yesterday.

Will get some train time today. Haven't had any the last few days due to schedule or just not feeling up to it.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning gang!

Friday sore throat, yesterday the sinuses flowed like a river, today headache and a slight fever. Gonna stay wrapped up and on the recliner the rest of the day.

Terry, Good vibes heading your way my friend!

Jaz Welcome back! Flo, get her whatever she wants, put it on my tab!

Good morning, Everybody!

Welcome back @Jaz avalley ! 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

Orioles 4 - Dodgers 3 I expected it would be a great game to watch. More on that later. After I finish watching the replay.

I went to bed just after 1pm yesterday and I slept until just after midnight. A great "night's" sleep indeed! For me that is.

I did wake up at least once for a bathroom break, I seldom remember. (CRS) I remembered this one because I saw rain on the bathroom window. Which made me worry about the minor roof leak I have yet to address. I went into the attic to check, but everything including the container under the leak was as dry as an old bone. Apparently, it only leaks when the rain is extremely heavy. Which is good as I have yet to find a competent roofing mechanic to do the job.

As I milled around in the attic I found a surprise. Something I bought in August of 2020 and never opened! To be honest, I forgot I bought it. I know the date because I looked it up in the Lionel store. With only 12 weeks until the first Sunday of Advent (November 30) and tomorrow being the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The find is right on time!

I'm not sure how I will use it yet, possibly to pull my Thanksgiving train. I don't know yet, but it will be running somewhere this holiday!

That is all for me, I'm out of time.

Have a Blessed Sunday Everybody!
How bout dem Boids? Made dam Bums look bad. So Sorry! Greatest come back since before 1961. Whatta game!

Good morning guys and Jaz,

Wife called this morning frosty, I will go along with that. Weather map shows official frost coming tomorrow, but looking forward further we have high Temps in the upper 70's on tap.

The geese were very active this morning, at least 3 flocks around 50 each on their way south.

It is headed towards a peaceful day, church followed by omelet brunch, then a couple mile walk in the fall air, leaves are beginning to change color and blue Jay's becoming more vocal.

I was trying to carry the huge wood slab in the wheelbarrow the other day and managed to break a handle. Will make a new one from some wood around here. Luckily I did not injure myself when it went over. It is a 6 cu ft capacity and it gets a lot of use, I think I bought it back in 1995, gave it to my parents, then got it back when they passed away. It will probably outlast me, too. I am on its second wheel and third set of handles.

Win 11? I have used it since the beginning. The current version is atrocious. Every time there is an update, there is a new reason to hate it more....Truthfully I use my PC less and less or I would have to move elsewhere.
Boy, lucky my machines are not 'good enough' said tongue in cheek for W11. Well, guess the laptop is but I refuse to install. Over the years, I have found that if you stick with the Pro versions, things are at least a little better. Had W2000 Pro, XP Pro, W7 Pro, and currently W10 Pro. So if not Pro what would that be: Windows xx Amateur? Pretty much sums up Micro$oft if so.

Started with W2.01 many moons ago ( 1998 ). Kinda liked WFW, but a lot of hoop jumping with that. I loaded W8, Vista and ME at one time or another. What crap, so I stayed with the previous. Think that XP was my favorite. In fact, I still have an IBM box, '486DX50 with XP on it somewhere, might have to fire it up just so I can go get coffee while waiting....

As a note, W10 is still doing upgrades/updates - though it was at EoL?

Hello. I did go to the grandson’s soccer (football to NORTHBRIT and JazA) game at 8:15. Nice and calm at 48f degrees on the pitch to start. The grandson in the 1st minute scored twice and the 1st 20 minutes of the half his team looked good.

That changed, final was 2-6 and the boys after the game were not happy with the head coach who barely let the missing 6 yesterday including the grandson play the rest of the game. They played but after his 1st subs around the 8 minute mark, none of them played their regular positions. It looked like a cluster out there this morning! They are now 7-1 for the season. So 2 more games this afternoon and evening that we have at least 4 parents that were furious this morning and that was while the game was going on. I can image how they felt after talking to their sons on the way home after the game. The grandson said he just considers the head coach “white noise” and plays as he’s been taught over the years. He did say his 2 buddies who play on his team actually mentioned not coming to the rest of today’s games. I asked him if missing yesterday’s game for slot racing was worth it. He said yes. He said we scheduled the races after the soccer schedule came out. There was nothing on the schedule about playing 5 tournament games this weekend. The players and parents were told Monday in an email and at practice. Said coach also added a 3 game tournament in October for another home Badger football game where they will miss at least 4-7 players because those families have season tickets. Everyone on this team except 3 kids have played together basically since pre-kindergarten. The parents all know each other and told this new coach about Badger football conflicts, the Badgers come 1st. Packer conflicts happen too but this is a Badger fanatic area!

I’m preparing breakfast. My 2nd and last diet Dr Pepper of the day and a toasted English muffin. I thought we might go to breakfast after the game but the SIL’s mom and step dad are coming to the 2:45 game. They will have lunch out so I am off the hook for lunch also! His mom and stepdad will not pay for lunch but will eat like pigs per the SIL!!! I will never let either of my kids pay for meals out if either Terry or I are with them until I have no money left. I know we are all different but that’s just the way I feel and was raised.

The English muffin has been consumed. I’m heading to run a train

Thank you and I know I need to go to look at your thread but suspect I’ll need a good couple of hours to check it out properly ☺️
Oh! I’d appreciate that but there has not been much posting there since your hiatus! But there has been some good discussions. Both the wife and I had some health issues (both of us are great now though) and trains took a back seat. I’ve cut back on commission work big time but still do some for regulars, friends and forum members here! The modeling spirit has been mostly gone but occasionally rears its head.

Don’t be a stranger as I don’t think anyone here hasn’t missed you! Be well
