Good evening all. A busy day preparing for the installation of an elevator in our house.

I'm trying to fill out the NMRA Contest paperwork to have my model judged toward earning a certificate. So far, I have spent about 6 hours working on it. One category is conformity of the model to a prototype building. After searching my computer records, I googled "two story brick buildings". Interestingly enough, about 10% of the pictures were of model railroad buildings. I finally settled on a picture of three similar buildings that have about 80% of my building's major details.
You mean the NMRA Achievement Program?

Afternoon All,

Started out with a walk at 80F and slightly breezy. We've had low humidity for 3-4 days, but we are back to normal again. I had a bunch of chores this morning then after lunch son and I unloaded the van from MOH's trip to SC/OH. Remember she broke her foot during the trip. Nothing much planned for tomorrow. It's tough being retired.

David- Great family photos of the granddaughters.

Willie- I really like what you did with the interior.

Karl- What did you order if it's not personal?

From the archives. This is the B.T.S Cabin Creek Mine.

Afternoon all,

Got the injection and knee feels better for now. I told the pa, who I've known for years, it's gonna hurt later. He said, "How so? I've done the shot".

I then said, "when I pull the adhesive bandage off and all the hairs that get pulled out removing it". He almost fell off his stool.

It is the first time I'd had anything done on that knee, but not the last. He thinks that a scope may not do much good anymore, so we discussed a timeline for replacement. I still have good mobility, so he didn't think that PT was necessarily going to help. Just quit the kneeling and squatting. Kind of hard on a Catholic boy. I will say that the "Help, I've fallen and can't get up!" isn't as funny as it used to be.

Good Afternoon All!
52F @ 57% - more sky than clouds. Got to 40F last night - pellet stove time.

Gwad! Went and bought interior paint for the wife. 1 Gallon semi-gloss ranged from $98 to $28. Went for the middle of the road stuff at $50; C-Note for two of them.

Found out new stuff from a friend of mine. He is worse than I am when it comes to acquiring HO stuff. He has only been doing this for a couple of years, getting out of RC and has something like 100 cars and I forgot how many engines. He has a 14x17 room destined for a layout and wants to model the 20's to 50's as he is also a steam freak. Likes FT's too. Steam is one of the reasons I chose the 70's as I can have my F's, SD's, GP's, PA's and took artistic license for the various steamers that GN, SP&S and NP ran. My bad! I finally got his email and forward a link to this site; and a couple of others so we may see yet another MRR from Libby! We will see.

Later

No, it's not too personal,

No little blue pills, or anything like that.

2K clearcoat paint and a respirator for the little truck, I have some paint repair to complete. The previous owner drove around with the tonneau cover rolled up and resting against the back of the cab. Vibration caused it to rub off a lot of the paint along the back of the cab below the window. Also there is a place of the roof at the 3rd brake light where the factory clearcoat has failed. Finally the weather is cooling enough to allow work in the garage.

Good morning gang!

Knocked out 1 1/2 DCC friendly conversions of Shinohara turnouts last night. One other turnout is done except for the cutting of the frog. I need a new metal cutting disc for my Dremel. Damn wheels shatter too easily!
I was able to minimize the cutting wheels shattering by adding 2 drops of CA to one side of a wheel and adding another wheel to it. But, it’s not a precision cut!

YES, I have to agree!

The Spousal Unit runs around with the "fuel light" on all the time.
I copied that and used really large print and "forced" her to read it - she said that she would try and comply? AND YES, I will still have warm dinner tonight!

My mom was just the opposite; anytime the fuel gauge was down to 1/2 tank, she drove me crazy until I filled it back up!

Looking for 76 with mostly cloudy today!
I sense some yard work on the horizon?
I will drive till the warning tells me 50, 45 or 40 miles of range is left. Terry is like your mom, if it’s at 1/2 or less the need to find a gas station is urgent. I do wonder how we made it 47 years married and 52 together

Is this the one that was clobbered by the tree? OR am I confused by my age?
