I love the black licorice ones but they are not on my carb approved list. Enjoy!Made the word count.
Got my reward. Was only supposed to eat half the bag. Oh well...

Jaz- my understanding(correct me if I’m mistaken) about why Camilla was “accepted” & why Simpson was shunned had something to do with the fact that Wallis was not only a multi-divorcée, but also an American(with ties to Nazi Germany), which caused Edward to abdicate so that he could go through with marrying her.Spent some time checking the news, sone cow actually had the audacity to say she hope she died in pain the institution she worked for apologised, the tweet disapeared, yes there are sone colonials and ex and wanna bes who no longer want to be part of her legacy, but then leave go, have the guts to do what you mean like the US, not dishonour a great queen when she passes
This woman is much loved, boo boo to non royal lovers, this woman did a lot of good, and helped many in the world, yes she is privilidged and rich, but she had every day of her life controlled by what she had dumped on her, it made her fathers life a horror, and she did it with pretty much dignity throughout, ignore the conspiracy and weird stories of the Diane, who was fine but the pedestal she has been stood on is a bit shaky, yes Camilla was a divorcee and poor Simpson got hammered for it, but that was a different time, and I am sorry to say Camilla was his true love, and Charles is a bit out there, but many ridiculed him, and now the greenhouse stuff is smacking them in the face, he tries his best again under difficulty, and yes he’s a bit awkward, but he and his son would not allow Andrew to get away with blue bloody murder (hopefully that is not a premonition as the bugger was far from squeaky clean) and Harry just annoys the heck out of me - I used to really like him but frankly I would be fine if the earth was flat and he fell off it. ~I suspect Charles will get media hammered, but hopefully in time his son and heir will get a more peaceful time, but knowing the press and the antI royalists I doubt it. for me my queen was truly great, she served us well, and did her part, hey and they the family offered some amusement along the way (not Sndrew ashamed of him) We lost a good one. You won’t find much better.
And a couple of the unions who were due to strike have cancelled in respect for her mourning, kudos to them,
And if that Scottish minx says anything nasty I hope she turns into a fish and someone throws her out to sea, right in front of another big hungry fish.
sniffles. I for one will miss her.
Chet, if nothing else, you ought to put up a display for all the automobiles you have.Have to make it quick today. I was down in the Bozeman area visiting my daughter and her family and my son followed me back up to Libby for a couple of days of visiting. Nice to see them and the grandson.
Enjoyed all of the photos as usual. I think that is what I miss most about not getting on the forum daily. Would be easier if I got it on the phone.
TomO - The photos of the old city buildings look just like down town?, main street Libby.
Chad - When do you expect the house to be completed?
Dave - Great photos.
Jeff H - At my old place I had a 2 acre lawn and I could get it done in around three hours. The trees slowed me down. Talked to my old next door neighbor and apparently the lawn got away from the people that bought it. He said that he had a couple of Mexicans out there with weed eaters for a few days. Laughed my butt off. I usually kept it trimmed down pretty well.

Willie - Congrats on the anniversary. The farm supply building is a winner.
Curt - Like the little shed. A great detail.
The kids just got back from the grocery store. I didn't expect to have any visitors and there wasn't much in the fridge. That was going to be tomorrows job.
Here are a few quickies from the archives.

Charles as the head of the church has the title "defender of the faith" he wanted to change it to "Defender of faith" so as to include all faiths in our multi cultural country, unfortunately, to do that, it would take an act of Parliament, he's already been told No.Jaz: FWIW, Edward was the head of the Church of England, when he fell for Wallis Simpson, during a different time when Divorce was frowned upon, instead of a common reality, as it is now. The only thing, that resulted from the Queens prohibition of Camilla, was creating the situation whereby Charles also became a Divorcee.
Prince Harry, is perplexing. While my son was deployed with a Marine Aviation Unit in the Middle East, they were billeted next to Prince Harry's squadron. He met him at a card game, and related that he was a normal guy in that environment, and the only thing that set him apart was Harry's Bodyguards. His downfall was his hooking up with a modern version of Wallis Simpson, but one with a narcissistic personality.
I'm told, HM King Charles III is only two weeks younger than I am. I wish him well and a long reign.
The successful invasion of France in WW2 was due to the Germans Fighting a modern mechanized war while the French were fighting a fixed defense war unchanged from the tactics used during the Franco-Prussian war. The Germans simply ran around the Maginot Line, instead of attempting to crash through it. Reminiscent of the Germans end run through Belgium, and around the French Defenses in WW1.Papers have come to light in recent years that indicate (but do not prove) that Edward was a German sympathiser and actually admired Hitler. It has also come to light that Wallis Simpson was indeed pro German in her sympathies and and it is believed this was this is the main reason, (as well as the fact she had two living ex husbands), she was so obnoxious to the British government, and they refused to allow Edward to marry her and maintain the throne. (You have to remember, ours is a constitutional monarchy, and as such, are subject to the whims of the Government of the day).
It is also claimed, (and their are papers have been found that seem to support this) that the successful invasion of France in WWII was, in part, due to Edward who had toured the Maginot line and noted several failings in it's defenses it's claimed, this information was passed on to an American businessman who had strong ties to Germany.
The misconceptions that come from multiculturalism. The Faith while connected to the Roman Church, - The Title being conferred by the Hapsburg Pope upon Henry VIII, (of all people), has transformed to all People of Faith, as more people of Faith come from diversified backgrounds. Faith being Belief, rather than Dogma. There is really no need to change it... When Charles I was executed, Cromwell's Puritans and Presbyterians had no tolerance for anyone whose belief and practice deviated from Cromwell's Cannons. That's what Charles III is defending the Faith from, Religious Totalitarianism. I agree the Title should remain as is.Defender of faith" so as to include all faiths in our multi cultural country, unfortunately, to do that, it would take an act of Parliament, he's already been told No.
Then I'm 18 days older....which means nothing in the broad scheme of things. He has waited a very long time for this moment. I wish him well.Charles (sorry, can't quite get the King Charles bit yet) DOB is 14 Nov. 1948, so ?????

I'm not certain how much Military Sophistication Edward had, but it was common knowledge that the Maginot line was incomplete, and under funded by the French Government. The best he could do is verify that to the unnamed American Businessman
The House of Windsor as we know it today began in 1917 when the family changed its name from the German “Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.”The House of Windsor, were themselves German, dating back to Queen Victoria the Grandmother of the Kaiser Wilhelm II (aka Willie), who was also an Admiral in the Royal Navy....It is not surprising that there would be some sympathy for the Germans. Also the National Socialists led by Hitler, were seen as preferable to the Bolshevik Socialists,
