Well howdy, there internet peeps, and HM King Charles III,

It's Troy again...

Being on Royal Watch yesterday meant I lost my momentum early on writing. Only 444 words.

Yes, Flo, coffee, and oatmeal. No, I don't want some of Mel's cracklins on the oatmeal. No, not in the coffee either.

I need to get my writing mojo back. Updates on word count coming in my next visit. So, cover me... I'm going in!

Charge! 🧙‍♂️🧛‍♀️

No Amazon for me today, I don't work for $20/ hour. I'll cut the grass later to get my activity box checked off.

After covid i am so far behind I have not had a chance to keep up with my train buddies.

I missed national beer lovers' day!!! I love beer. Beer is one of my favorite gifts from God. Everything is a gift from God, but I have my favorites.
I like a dry pilsner best, but any good lager will do. If it complies with Reinheitsgebot Yeast is vital, but who knew in 1516? And don't put no damn fruit in my beer. I don't like fruity-ass beer!
My only problem is my blood sugar could be better so no beer for me until i get it right.

Cracklings, no thank you. I like my pork fat on my wife's perfectly fried pork chops. I eat all that! I make a fairly good pork chop myself with shake-n-bake.

Mason-Dixon line, I'm just south of it. I'd call myself a Yankee, but as an Oriole fan it could be taken a sacrilege!
Speaking of my birds, a tough stretch and they needed yesterday off. Although the last thing a competitor wants is a day off after losing. It is hard to enjoy a day off after losing.

Music, at one time i would say "hard rock or no rock". I've mellowed a bit and expanded my taste, slightly. Especially with older songs that bring back memories, but I still love hard rock best!
I think they used to call the music i listened to "album rock"

This is the last song that came up on my music player. It's my kind of love song

This is an oldie. The man who raised me would sing this to his wife. I don't much like country music, but this is special.

I don't like whining cry baby songs. I like positive, defiant, and just plain fun songs. Some have special meaning. Some have unknown meaning but speak to me.

Good morning all! Been pretty busy here since my last visit. Had a busy day at work yesterday and then had company yesterday evening.
Expecting to have another busy one today.

Thanks to all those offering to subscribe to our club YouTube channel. I replied to each and now I have a link to my personal channel and the club channel below in my signature area. My personal channel has more real life railroad video but it also has a couple model railroad related videos.

Gotta get ready to head out for work. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning All. Clear and a cool 66° to start this auspicious day.

Yep! Today is the big day, wife and I have been married 50 years. Thank you all for best wishes. We'll celebrate by taking a surprise road trip to Oklahoma City and visit a few places there. We'll start at Will Rogers Garden with it's roses, arboretum and conservatory with cacti and other succulents. Then it's off to the Whistle Stop model train store. Next will be the Bricktown Brewery for lunch. It's just around the corner from our fourth stop, The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. Final stop is at Tinker AFB for the Charles B Hall Airpark, an airplane museum. That may be a short stop as it's an outdoor display so it's weather dependent based on temperature. The whole thing is a 300 mile round trip and we may stop at the WinStar World Casino for supper on the way home, although that's just 25 miles our house. They have 13 restaurants, 5 fast food joints and 6 bar/lounges. She may want to gamble a bit, but that just isn't my thing. I had to tell her yesterday that we were going so she wouldn't make any other plans; but I didn't mention where we were headed.

Out in the train shed yesterday, i made some more progress on Farmco Supply. I installed the sign, added stripes to the parking lot and did some minor touch up on the ground cover.

Then I played with the positioning of the adjoing structure, the 7-11 store.

I still have room for an additional business next to that before the road and the City Hall across that road.

Current overall view from the aisle.

I don't have time for my usual babble and comments this morning as I need to get ready to leave at 0800.
I'll see y'all tomorrow.
Everybody have a great day.

Good morning all, woke up to a thunderstorm about 2:30 am, still raining. Gonna be a soggy one in East central Minnesota!

TomO- great pics, esp the "Streamliner"

Willie - appearance of the Farmco bldg very authentic! Nice job

Morning photo from the old layout, however the little cabin has a prominent place on the new layout as well:

The tree trunk in this scene was made from epoxy! Had the best bark of any

Will be back later, Dave LASM
