If you can prove that story, that is fraud by the medical practice and a huge NO-NO to Medicare investigators.
The proof is there if one has the foresight to save the appointment slip, screen capture the entry from the Patient portal, and then take the Medicare MSN and compare them. However, most folks don't do that. I was only made aware, because Medicare denied my well visit due to insufficient time between well visits.....something I wasn't aware of at the time. By that time all the documents that would support my position were altered or disappeared. I'm just more careful now, so I won't put myself in that position again. Amazing what they billed for, during my recent hospitalizations. (Amazing what Medicare paid, too).

I'm actually pleased with the protections Medicare provides us, compared to previous private insurance.

Good evening. In between running to physical therapy, and doing my home exercises, I have been adjusting DCC CV settings on my current fleet of mostly ALCO diesels. PRR and Penn Central deployed mainly ALCO power on the New Jersey, and Philadelphia Terminal Divisions, and mainly Baldwins on the Chesapeake Division. My layout is in Baldwin territory, but my interest extends beyond, so I have all plus some EMDs, which didn't come until later in the PC era. Interesting to learn what works and what doesn't.

Have a good day!;)

Good morning, Everybody!

No work for us today. My wife has an appointment with the surgeon concerning her hernia. By sheer luck it is a rainy, and chilly morning, a perfect day to take off!

I have already made effective use of my time. I finally installed the Honeywell programmable thermostat my son gave me some time ago. Fortunately, I was replacing an older non-programmable Honeywell thermostat, no modifications needed. Being it is time to turn the heat on; it's getting too cold for me. And the cost of heating the house is going up. Or so I have heard. I thought it was time to replace the old thermostat and step into the modern era. I had a Honeywell programmable thermostat in the previous house I owned. I was glad to see the programming was the same, easy.

I haven't yet watched last night's World Series game, but I am looking forward to it.

After checking the box score I was happy to see 22-year-old Trey Yesavage pitched exceptionally well. The young man has now made 8 starts in MLB, five of them in the postseason! I was glad to see the Blue Jays manager show some patience and let the young man pitch seven innings. It was more out of necessity as the Blue Jays bullpen had been over worked.

Dodgers' starting pitcher Blake Snell did not fare so well. For the second time he gave up five runs and was once again charged with the loss. If the Dodgers lose this series, it will be a long winter for the veteran.

It's time to watch some baseball!

Enjoy your day Everybody!

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with thermostats

It's Troy again

Today is the day for Lord Fuzzbutt's trip to the vet for his arthritis shot! And, it's a rainy dreary day.

Not much new to report here. We're trying to get the house mostly together for when we're out in vegas next week. Leave Saturday morning. Unfortunately flying out. We'll see how TSA and Air Traffic Control is.

Got the warning from the convention organizers not to bring tea kettles or travel coffee pots and leave them out in our rooms. Hint: put them in a drawer or your luggage to hide them after use. The hotel uses the "safety hazard" as a way to make you go down to the highly overpriced bars and cafes for your morning brown bean juice.

So that caused a panic. The original post was short and lacked context I just gave you. It's a standard annual warning. But the reminder caught a lot of folks off guard for being abrupt!

Time to go shower. Will return later.

Morning all,

31° with some patchy frost in the area, supposed to be sunny with a high of 60° later.

Wife had me leave early to get donuts for the IT crew as I'm off tomorrow. So I bought a half dozen:

That is a larger full dozen sized box. The donuts are good and LARGE!

Gotta work Saturday, so I'll be out early today.

So I had to make a doctor's appointment with a new doctor today. Lots of questions. A sign of the times. She tells me this is new and strange questions, but I have to ask you this. What gender are you? We're you born this gender. Are you still this gender? Do you still identify as this gender. Swal
Doctor's of all people should know better, and if the patient identifies as something else, send to the white room.

I think the 1st inning or the first 3 pitches really messed with the Dodgers. Toronto came to win this series.

The Blue Jays came ready for Blake Snell. They knew he would try to establish his fastball early and they were sitting dead-red. Unfortunately for Snell he was missing his spots. Instead of locating the fastball down and away all three homeruns came off fastballs up and in.
