I have no real preference, and don’t really care, but I’ll go for the Blue Jays because they’re American League. As a Red Sox fan* we need to keep it in the league. (Even if I was a Dodgers fan before moving to Mass. Dodgers and Giants was all we got on TV when I was under 10 in Arizona)

And it will annoy the wife, who is an Otani fan. 😂

* growing up in Mass I didn’t really care about baseball or the Red Sox. Even later when I was working at DEC. But then after leaving DEC I moved to Utah and was working at WordPerfect and lived with a bunch of students. One roommate was from the Bronx and an insufferably die hard Yankees fan. That’s enough to make anyone a Red Sox fan.

Son of bi ...... biscuit! I'm out of breath. Took me nearly an hour to get to page 59. Willie as left town, Chad is still interviewing, Louis broke AWS, David lost Jaz, TomO is swinging on a bridge, Europe has more loco than you can shake a stick at and Troy is .... Troy.
Good morning, all! An overcast day with the threat of rain. We certainly need the rain. Galveston County is one of two local counties without burn bans in place. Drought conditions are spreading rapidly. We are closing in on the record for the most 90 degree days in October.
The Conductress and I went out for breakfast this morning. Denny's is close and we hadn't been there in quite awhile. I was disappointed with their pancakes. Thin, dry and not very cakey. Taste was ok, but the texture almost seemed uncooked. I guess the next time the urge hits us we'll try I-Hop.
I got a new iPhone, 17 Air. It's been a long time since I had an iPhone and it is taking me quite a bit of time learning to use it. While I have an iPad and there are some similarities, they are different.
I did get in some train time and might this afternoon.

That reminds me of the guys I played ball with back in the seventies. They had the same kind of thinking. There was no way I could root for the Red Sox in 1975. I rooted for the Reds because of the bitter rivalry between my Orioles and the Red Sox.

Now all I want to see is good fundamentally sound baseball. It would be great to see someone pitch a complete game, but I doubt I will see that.

Yoshi (Yoshinobu Yamamoto) pitched a complete game in game two of the NLCS. Everybody talks about Ohtani, but Yoshi is the man!

Good Afternoon All.
It was a bit of a disappointment visiting the Foley Railroad Museum this morning. Not the museum itself, but the fact that the local elementary school was having continuous field trips there today. The place was packed with 7-8 year old kids, each with a scavenger hunt sheet in hand! The noise I could tolerate, but the run-away kids underfoot made the whole experience a bit difficult. Some of the young moms were a bit distracting as well. I wasn't able to talk with any staff members about the most recent remodeling, of which there was a lot. They were too busy with all of the kids. My wife left and went outside to sit down, so I cut it short. Just when they were about to leave, another group took their place! At least I was able to get a lot of pictures; which I can't currently post.
Overall, I am glad to see them getting the youngsters involved.
It's beach time now for a while. Be back later.

I've had an I phone for 3 years now, still can't work the damn thing right! Always had Androids before, never a problem. One thing I can give it credit for is the camera. Some of the pics in my recent RMC article were taken with the Phone.
After struggling with exs. I phone years ago i came to conclusion that I phones were made for females. They require feelings 🤣
I always had an android and never a problem.

What can't you figure out? (Serious question). I don't care what phone people use though I am an iPhone user myself, and when I've had to use an Android at work it was a frustrating experience. But I left the platform wars in the 90s. But if there is a problem I can help solve I'm all for it.
