Well, figured out my GP30 thing. After seeing that Willie's models worked on DC with all the lights, I decided to just throw the switches. Set both to the upper position and applied the DCC power. Lights came on but no control. Set them back to the down position and started cycling through the function keys. Got the floorboard lights to come on.

I did a search on the interweb on the ESU programmer and came across the DCC Guy (Puckett)'s video on just using the ESU programmer software, exporting the CV file and importing into JMRI. I downloaded the GP30 ESU file from ST and modified it in ESU. Imported into JMRI and everything works now.

Will be exercising it after lunch.

Woo hoo!

I appreciate good food served in a nice friendly manner. While I enjoyed the food and I am losing weight for what we paid I want more value. The high end service is just not me. There are foodies I agree who go for the food. I go for the food, service and company.
Totally agree with you. We rarely go out to eat because the value and quality isn't there anymore. Prior to Covid, Floyd, homeless, crime etc Portland had a thriving restaurant scene that we enjoyed. We haven't been downtown in almost 8 years. The current commercial vacancy rate downtown is 35%.

When we do go out it's to a local Japanese restaurant. When you walk in the place filled with Japanese families...a very good sign.

I'll probably get a clothes bar, and put it up in the living room on laundry day. Kind of like my parents did during the depression...
Do you have space for an apartment size washer and dryer?

Or maybe a folding, clothes drying rack.

We had an apartment size washer and dryer; they work well for small loads. My wife still uses the folding, clothes drying rack for things she doesn't like to put in the dryer.

Good morning, Everybody!

Lots of great NFL games yesterday!

Amazon's NFL channel is a great way to catchup on all the games I missed.

I thank God for sports! They provide a great distraction from all the nonsense beyond my control in this world.

Enjoy your day Everybody!

Louis, where the plumbing is, there isn't a spot for a washer/dryer with plumbing access.Either a clothes bar or dryer rack will be my choices. That, or driving to a place with normal heat in the dryers.

I hear a noise outside yesterday, so I look and see my neighbor blowing my leaves into the woods. I said, Kevin what's going on. You didn't hire a day laborer to clean up your leaves this year. I tried to get someone, but they all have regular jobs now. They make more money than I do.
I did my lawn, so I thought while I'm out here I might as well do yours's. Swal

Yea, you are reading that right. feels like -7 with the wind!

I didn't plan on doing anything outdoors yesterday but I ended up mowing and bagging my leaves. Enough had come down
to make it worth while. I see this morning with the wind last night a whole new batch has come down. I figure I will wait and try
to only have to do it one more time.

Usual Monday chores this morning and whatever else crops up.

Have a safe day everyone!
