Have a great day!;)

Good morning gang!

Currently 33° under clear skies with a daytime high expected of 60°. Gusty winds come in this afternoon with a 60% chance of rain by 10 o’clock tonight.

Western Maryland Railway historical Society meeting tonight after work. Yardwork planned for tomorrow so that I can spend Sunday in the basement.

Good morning Crew. It’s 46f degrees heading to 59. A nice day.

Heading over by 9 to the friend’s layout with some mockups for the paper mill structures. They are in the thread Let’s build a paper mill for a friend. Interesting dilemma for him though. He wanted most of the rail action on the far right of the mill. He sent over a drawing of the track plan finally last night. Based on where the structures were placed. Most of the heavy rail action while spread across almost 38’ is to the left within the 32’ I can work in. He’s going to strongly look at that because 2 decks above is his massive passenger yard, Kings Street Station in Seattle and an engine facility. I do have a fix, I can reverse the mill, instead of left to right movement we can go right to left and give him a less congested or lopsided action in the mill. Going to be an interesting 90 minute visit

Terry had her full physical yesterday and is having trouble with the eyes again. Today at 1 she has a MRI for the sinus and a similar MRI type of scan for both her eyes. Usually 3-4 months out, she got the appointment right after it was cancelled for the eyes. They always can find a normal MRI machine so around 1:30 the same tech and her will just move together to an available machine. The other tests though are out a couple weeks.

It is my end of the year stock market review week starting on Sunday per my calendar alert. I last reviewed 6 months ago but really all this year I have watched the markets carefully. In the past it was buy and forget. I’m glad I stayed in even though I reduced by about 20%. It’s been overall a very good year. Going to need to be with the ridiculous price increases on my supplemental health insurance.

Enjoy the day

the new printer i got maybe 4 months ago, is still sitting there and was never touched.
As much as I want one, I'm afraid that would be the fate of mine as well.

Kind of like going all gung ho on the Fastracks turnout building. I bought all the jigs and filing tools. They have been sitting in the
basement for several years and I haven't built one turnout yet with them.

Well about two weeks ago I decided to open up my basic DCC Digitrax system which was sitting in the basement for many many years. The heat, cold and humidity apparently got into some stuff and i found out that the cable with the converter was shot. The controller of all things was fine. First i threw the whole thing in the garbage, then i remembered about something called an E-bay. Decided to snoop around and found a brand new converter (i think that's what it's called) , $25 of pretty much useless PayPal money and the converter was in my mailbox. Turned out to be a good decision, everything in the basic system works fine and it was the first time i have ran a DCC equipped locomotive in my house off a DCC address 😆. First time for everything i guess.

Would the Western Maryland Historical Society happen to be meeting in Hagerstown at the museum?

We should be teaching nutrition in schools. I had no idea a King Size Hershey bar and a large coffee loaded with sugar for breakfast was poisoning me. Super-size fries for lunch and snacks weren't helping. Nether was the beer and whiskey after work. Not to mention cheese steaks or pizza for dinner.
Somehow i have a hard time believing that you did not know this 😉

If you want to know anything about diet, cancer or other health related issues watch this guy's videos. I'll be 80 in 5 months and a lot of my classmates are having major health problems which affects their quality of life. It hasn't affected my life yet but like my doctor told me about 10 years ago, I'm telling you to stop eating this crap their selling it will kill you. Well for some reason I can't load the videos but the guy's name is Dr. Sten Exberg watch and learn something. Swal

Good evening folks, getting ready to go belly up. Did my commissary run this morning and decided to do a walk around the park on base, near the commissary. Did two laps, which turned up being around 1.5 miles. Got 10 pull ups in at the half-way point. Bought my food and started the drive home. Started feeling lost, and saw some weird stuff in the right side of my right eye. Took some time to ensure I wasn't getting ready to pass out and drove home.

Yeah, didn't feel too good all day, but kept busy. Wife wanted to put the black sheet on the raised garden since I complained this morning about the feral cats visiting my newly tilled dirt. So I laid a new layer of black sheet and tacked it all in. Then it was back on my perch trying to stay up.

I think I need to start moving more.

@migalyto and @TLOC

about the 3D Printer Topic.
I have now my third 3D Printer in my basement. Did some upgrades over the past 3 years i would say.
i did use it from time to time to print some stuff, but till now not for my layout haha. and if iam really honest, the new printer i got maybe 4 months ago, is still sitting there and was never touched. maybe its because i dont found the time to also do stuff with it, maybe its because of all the resin cleaning after using, or maybe i just did not had the right idea in mind to start using it again.

on the other hand, my laser cutter was way more in use. but thats a totally different topic and also use.

cheers
Marco

Resin 3D printers are best for items with small detail. People make great printing subjects.

Marco: I had a Saturn 4 (green hood, not the smokey black hood). Same general printer. It's a good one.
But... Cleaning up the resin on the build plate is more involved than the older Mars and Saturns. The "legs" between the two sections make cleaning more difficult. Elegoo solved the "auto levelling" issue by making the LCD screen tilt to match the build plate. Clean up is easier.

Mack, I knew it wasn't good for me, but I didn't fully understand the consequences.

Add to that I believed I was superman; nothing could hurt me.

Then reality set in and it was too late.

I consider my suffering to be a blessing. I needed to learn humility.

"For all who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Are you sure you didn't have a minor stroke?

Good morning, Everybody!

I had frost on my windshield at 3:30am this morning. The first time this fall.

I've been going through withdrawal from MLB. I enjoy the NFL, but MLB plays every day!

Speaking of the NFL last night's game Raiders-Broncos should be a game I will enjoy. 10-7, that is old school! I miss "three yards and a cloud of dust"

@kbkchooch Don't read the rest of this post.

To pass the time while I work on odds and ends around the house, I have had Amazon's Holidayscapes Christmas channel on. 🎄🎅 Why not I have already seen Christmas commercials from Intel and Lowe's and many outside Christmas decorations in my travels.

November 30th is the first week of Advent! ✝️ 😁

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with sweetness
And you old grumps too!

It's Troy again

Made it to Harry Reid Int'l Airport... sitting and waiting now.

Wife had to walk at a slow stroll all week, so she never got her speed up to her usual Mach 1.5. So she'd doing laps of the terminal. I requested that she bring me a diet Dr. Pepper. We'll see what she finds.

I'm just sitting here ignoring all the slot machines at the airport. No need to give Vegas any more of my money.

Had pizza with our Henderson friends last night. Barley and Flour in the Linq section behind Flamingo.
