Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and 59° here on the SFW estate. Only reached 80° yesterday with the northerly winds. The ever changing forecast now calls for 90° today and tomorrow with low-60's at night. Pleasant weather but unfortunately too cool to uncover the pool yet. I'm usually using it by Memorial Day but not this year.

Forecast still has thunderstorms in it for Monday.
Yesterday was spent out in the yard mostly. I used the weedeater and push mower in assorted places. Then I drug out some partially cut logs out of the undergrowth to load up today and move to the firewood stack. More than half of this batch is going to require splitting, some will need to be cut to 16"-18" lengths as well. Picked another batch of Green Peas from the garden. Peas are done for this season. They are especially temperature sensitive and that one day that it hit 96° about two weeks ago shocked them. All blossoms fell off the plants and no additional ones have emerged. Those that had been pollinated are maturing but that is it. It happens some years. That's it for my "cool season" crops until fall. It's unfortunate though, as the two weeks since that day have been perfect growing weather for them. So now I turn my attention to Tomatoes. I have dozens of golf ball-sized ones all over the plants.
Today starts with an appointment with my dental hygienist at 10:00. It's the only medical type appointment that I have that's close, at just 12 miles away. I have been using this dentist for 11 years now after my previous one retired due to health reasons. I didn't know it at first, but I used to use his father 45 years ago in a different city! I knew that the name was the same but didn't know that they were related. Afterwards I will mow and work with the firewood.
Out in the train shed yesterday was no different than many of the previous days. I guess that I am just in a project funk, as I ran trains again. But after all, that's why it's there to begin with. I did spend a little time at the workbench dabbing some paint on a few figures that needed completion, as that's always a good fill-in project that doesn't require much setting up.
Tom O - If I haven't already posted it, have a safe trip. Try to enjoy the wedding and certainly enjoy the golf in Maui.
Todd - Fortunate to have found the cat when you did, or you would be airing the RV out again. I hate the vendors that need a "voided check". Most of our direct deposit accounts just needed a correct routing number.
Mike -
I don't think they do it so much for baseball as Football.
I think that it is because many baseball games are on weekday nights and folks have to work the following day.
Y'all have a great hump day today. Be safe.
