I read Sportsnet.ca every day for the hockey news. I love the comments after the stories regarding the Leafs. They are fanatic fans or haters!
Makes the Rangers fans sound calm and reserved.... Every commentator on TSN and SN appears to be a Leafs fan. Fan commentary is hysterically funny....When I followed the leafs closely I went to SN's site first each day.
Caps and Canes are tied 1-1....elimination game for the Caps. Canes are better than anyone thought.

know it’s unlikely because even though they are horrendous in the playoffs they are winners in the regular season and of course fill out the arena for every game.
Even during the John Ferguson Jr - Paul Maurice era, they filled the barn...at least until they were mathematically eliminated.
Plus they still have what I would call now a semi miracle chance to win this series. It’s why they play the games…
Sure do...But they may have used their Miracle against Ottawa. Tomorrow, we'll know more. Actually, the team and it's core are pretty good, to be able to stay in this Florida series as long as they have....Why they frequently flop in the playoffs is beyond me.

can someone maybe explain why Fleury had hes debut in the national team this world championships? if i remember correctly he has retired this year in the NHL? And i mean, heas a fking legend. but why he has hes debut so late? just because he was in the NHL all the time? or do i mix up some things? :D
One thought: The Worlds run concurrent with the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He wasn't available or he was hurt. Now, he can play in the Worlds.

Of special note to me, former Dallas Cowboy running back, Emmitt Smith is 56 years old today. He was born on the day that I graduated from high school. I met him once in the mid-90's while on a home layout tour at a model railroaders home. Don't know if he is still interested in the hobby.
One of the most impressive things I saw Emmitt Smith do was on a play action play at the goal line. Troy Aikman faked the handoff to Smith who sold the play by diving headfirst over the pile into the endzone. Emmit's effort drew all the attention from the defense. Troy, untouched, tossed a touchdown pass to a wide-open receiver. As Emmit landed on his head. That kind of selflessness is rare for a superstar player, but not for Emmitt Smith, a true Hall of Fame player.

I was in Chicago many years ago and a hotdog from a company called Best. They really were.
Baltimore's own Esskay hotdogs were my favorite, but they no longer make them.

Upstate NY or any Wegmanns store. Hoffman hots. They are white meat. My favorite
Makes me think of those white sausages that are so popular in Germany.

I put chili and cheese sauce on my hot dogs.
My grandson's favorite food! Many of his birthdays we ask him what he would like and "Chilli Dogs" is always his answer. This year, now that he has his learner's permit, we are having him drive us to a little Italian place nearby. I'm not a fan of Italian food, but thin crust pizza is always good.

Marco. I’ll agree with Louis it’s because when he’s been with Pittsburg and played well they had deep runs in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Other years he’s been no where near the quality goalie that the Canadian National teams had and just couldn’t make the team

Personally for me he’s no legend. If he makes the Hall of Fame so should a lot of goalies that were on teams that won multiple Stanley Cups.

He was though a heck of a player on absolutely superb teams. His time in Vegas and being their 1st selection in the dispersal draft and getting them that 1st year into the Cup final with Vegas is a great story. But he’s been the 2nd goalie on teams for years. That said, he is an extra ordinarily person off ice. A great team leader in his later years. He is super community orientated, was always available to promote the Penguins, the NHL, Vegas and the Blackhawks.

Just kidding eat them any way you like.
I agree! To each his own, even ketchup if that is what you like. Please don't offer me ketchup for my Hotdog.

I like chicken Hotdogs cold, uncooked straight from the pack. Armour makes a good chicken hotdog. I know, "it's bad for you"
Always follow the cooking instructions on the package.

My favorites are boiled All-Meat Hotdogs. Beef is okay if cooked in the oven or on the grill, never boiled! I wouldn't eat a NY "dirty water" dog if you paid me! My wife loves them! Thank God a slice of pizza is as easy to find in NY as a hotdog.

As I understand it all Hotdogs are technically speaking, sausages. America made the Hotdog what it is today. USA USA USA 😁

But like many "American foods" the origins of Hotdogs came from the Old World, Frankfurt - Franks (Frankfurter Wurstchen) and Vienna - Wieners (Wiener Wurstchen) What began as two distinct varieties has become many!

Germany - Austria whatever, it's defiantly a German thing!

Like the Old World has many varieties of sausages, America has many varieties of Hotdogs! And lots of different sausages too.

For some reason I don't like Italian sausage, at least not the ones I have tried, and I have all but given up on trying another Italian sausage.

Bottom line Hotdogs are my favorite food! I usually only eat one on a hotdog roll. The rest I eat straight from the pot, dipped in America's own, yellow mustard.
