So, I will need to bring hotdogs, no problem. I don't like to come empty handed anyway.

For the record I like brats, Johnsonville are my favorites. But when invited to a special place I like to bring the best, hotdogs are the best!
No, Sheboygan brats.... Sheboygan, WI, IS the bratwurst capital of the world.🤗

Not going to argue about hotdogs since I do like them better also. I prefer the Old Fashioned style with the hog or sheep casing.

Good afternoon gang!

Fresh from the MRI/MRA appointment. Damn I hate being in that tube! Have to go to the Endocrinologist later this afternoon.

Weddings, Sharon and I had both had big church weddings when we were younger, and neither one of us wanted to go through that again. The expense, the drama, the who is getting invited and whose not. Ugh! So we eloped. Took a flight to Arizona and got married at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Just her, me and a preacher. We had flowers, champaign and a photographer who was also a witness. All fun, no stress! The pictures were phenomenal with the canyon as our background! A few months later son #2 did something similar for his wedding in the mountains of Virginia. Marriage can be stressful enough, don't start one off with stress!

Not wired yet. Wanted to see what it will look like. I like it. Don’t know when I’ll be able to pull wire yet because I’ve have bought it yet. It’s all done anyway. Had to make my own junction box for future expansion.

Time to post a photo of the garden area I have been working on, it is only 12' x 12', the raised bed is 3' x 6' and there are some large rotten logs on the bottom but the rest is topsoil

We are planting beets, carrots, and peas around the inside of the fence and leafy greens in the raised areas. Zucchini will be outside the picket fence somewhere, as is the rhubarb. Sweet corn we buy from local stands.

The area in "front" will be flowers and rocks, etc

Here is another area of interest between our carport and home, we have something of a stumpery going on

The ferns are Imperial Ferns, transplanted last fall

I switched to the galvanized beds about 6-7 years ago. Best move I ever made. Wood rots out really fast in our climate.

Looks great!

Raining right now. Watch says 57F and 60F on the two outside sensors (about 15' apart on the N wall -- one is hooked to the house heating system as an input on measuring what is needed and one I added in a ventilated plastic box).

I did my walk at record pace. Around 17' 20" for the 2.54 miles of segment 1. Then the last .69 miles I slowed down to around 22 minute miles as a warm down. The first couple 1/10 still a good pace but 19-20 minute and then slower.

For some reason I gained my weight back in the last year and am stuck in a band about 4 lbs. I'm still doin the intermittent fasting (min 16 hours for evening to morning meal), mostly low carb (once in a while there is a "sin" day like a holiday, and not over eating, and the last month 5-6 fast walks a week of 3+ miles. I think it's stress.

Anyway, speaking of "sausage" generically. We have the organic raw Sauerkraut from Costco in the fridge so I have to see what we have in the freezer. I think it's just Italian sausages, which are not really great with kraut but it will do in a pinch. Could be some generic brats there.

I like any and all sausage except Weißwurst (Munich special made with veal). I don't hate it but never would buy it. My favorite "hot dogs" are old school in-the-case "wiener". Where I'm at here in Utah they're hard to find outside of specialty German butchers and shops etc. Back east in New England you could get them at Walmart from one of the NY hot dog brands.

But I'll eat any of it.

Speaking of eating, it's 2:15pm and lunch time almost.

So, I go outside to babysit the kamado to do up a steak for dinner tonight. It's 83 f-degrees outside, so I get my patio chair and footrest uncovered, bring out the power cord, box fan (it's toast out here), and computer.

The most godawful noise starts up right after I light the charcoal. Realizing it's not the kamado grill, nor my butt making the squeal, followed by a machine gun warbling sound, I look into the fenced off area where my and my neighbor's outdoor AC units sit. OH Crap! Sounds like the blades are out of balance, or the motor is going bad!

Neighbors have a newer Lennox unit. I think this is the fourth season for their's. Ours is at least 10 years old. I think it's closer to 15 if not older. (We've lived here five years).

Both units are running when I peer through the fence, so I run into the condo and power our down. Grab the drill and the driver bits. Come out and the noise is still blaring. My wife had said earlier in the say it sounded like a big generator running (her dad used to work road construction, so he had access to a LOT of big equipment). Nope... it was...

The neighbor's unit!

They should be coming home from work soon, and I'll try to catch them to let them know it's wonky. That unit seems to have problems every year... Knocking wood that mine keeps going. I pay the service techs to come out twice a year and do the clean and maintenance on the full system.

Vienna Beef out of Chicago IMOO makes the best hot dog. Lots of vendors in the Chicago area and So. Central Wisconsin sell them. Terry’s dad used to buy hot dogs from a butcher between Mishicot and Two Creeks in Eastern Wisconsin. Skin on and delicious but he was one of those disgusting ketchup users!

Just kidding eat them any way you like.

Steamed bun, neon relish, raw onions, tomato, mustard and seasoning you can’t go wrong.

Give me a hot dog, Italian beef with sweet peppers dipped not drenched, a hamburger, good Italian sausage or a brat in that order
