Buying a new phone (Google Pixel 10 Pro) solved all my connection problems with my phone and 2026 Honda CR-V. I visited the Verizon Store near me, and they said I had an old phone Bluetooth and new car Bluetooth connection problem. Buying this new phone corrected that. It all works great now. I wanted to make up some playlists and found Youtube's Music playlist is one of the free ones and has a limit of 15 songs but you can create as my playlists as you want. I created 2 so far one with a softer classic rock feeling to it and one hard rock playlist with many more to create. You can find just about any song ever produced on the YouTube Music site and download to your phone and it's all free. The softer one in pictured below. Swal

I have djdiscocat bookmarked as well. Wish they didn't stop over 2 years ago.

Well howdy there music aficionados, and those who understand why mountains come out of the sky and stand there

It's Troy again

Impressed with Anker's service. Order that I placed this morning already has a tracking number and awaiting pickup by the carrier.

In other news, watching the DVDs of Battlestar Galactica. I'm three episodes into season 2. All I can say is Daaaaaaayum! That's great writing and pacing.

Just saw the Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby moment.... Since I know the plot, some of the visuals in this sequence were foreshadowing as well as great visuals.

I have to limit myself to two episodes a night. If I do three, then I take a night off so I don't do a repeat and OD on it. If I spend too much time watching a show or series, then I have to break off, and it's tough to get back in.

My wife, however, can fill every evening pumping the shows in. That's how she got so far ahead of me watching this series.

And, if there are any fans of Firefly, looks like Nathan Fillion is working on the final stages of getting Firefly in animation (because they have to have it between the series, and the follow up movie. Problem... the cast is 20 years older than the movie... so animation to make it lets the originals (minus one, RIP) reprise their roles via voice.

In case you haven't seen it yet:

Good evening! I started on the driveway and got to where I can get in and out maybe 1.25 carsvwide. There was a good 12” on the apron of the driveway. When the plows came through both wings were down and the street looks great. The next pass only the passenger side wing was down butbI have never seen them drive that fast and throw the snow like it did. Heavy wet snow to the side walk maybe 12’ added to thev12” already there. I went out when I saw the 1st double wing down plow come through.

The sidewalks had a good 12”+ on them, ye east west side walk. The north south side walk for 150’ was bone dry to the concrete, the last 30’ maybe 4” but icy underneath. I used way too much ice melt but we had a glaze underneath the snow.

I will finish the curb and apron part of the driveway tomorrow

before the guessed at 3” to 5” arrives starting mid afternoon. The picture shows almost 2 hours work before my fingers said get us inside. It was 30 mph winds and my best gloves sucked today

Does your Winter ever end?

Good evening folks, never got above 40F here today and supposed to get to 80F by Thursday? Yeesh, make up your mind Mother Nature! Anyway worked at the gunstore today, found some 44-40 brass for a friend, he will be happy. Got the first coat of paint on the railcar last night, touch up in a bit, if not tonight, tomorrow. My wife's birthday is Thursday, so gotta get her a card tomorrow. Got a new Tabletop game today, called Battletech: Gothic. Bug, stompy robots facing off against genetically modified monsters with built in guns. Looks fun with gorgeous minis in it.

Kevin,
Starline is well stocked with brass for most every obsolete caliber.

Well, just made it back from the ophthalmologist. Left the house at 0720, got back into the house at 1820. Trains, walk, wait, fill out forms, wait. Somewhere in there was about 10 minutes total of talking to a doc. They make us wear masks in hospitals out here, which is why I hate going to them. The mask is probably doing me more harm than good as I have low respiration rate (I think that's what its called - that little thing they put on your finger when they check your blood pressure and temp). Anyway, of the 5 docs I saw about the floaters, all except one had the opinion that the removal surgery is not needed. I pass all their acuity tests with flying colors. The last doc was the retina specialist who actually performs the surgery and he seemed quite positive and confident about the procedure. So, I will decide and then let them know. They all seem to know each other, including the doc on base, so I'm guessing it's a small community.

Got up at 0500 this morning and drank one cup of iced coffee as I didn't want to start the coffee maker while everyone was still sleeping. When they came to life around 0550, I made my hot coffee and drank one cup. While on the caffeine buzz, started a project and instantly lost the tiny hose while splitting the body from the chassis of my N-scale ABe 8/12. Yep, should not have started it, but wasn't thinking straight. No plans to work on anything until tomorrow.

Morning all,

28° and partly cloudy, high of 60° later. Looks like the mid-teens we had yesterday took out the daffodils along the flower bed beside the back entrance to city hall. They were in full bloom and are now dead looking. Hopefully killed off the Bradford Pear blossoms as well.

Snow machine will get drained and run out of gas before I put it away this weekend. I do put Stabil in the fresh fuel every season and haven't had a problem since. Only needed it once this season. We don't usually get snow after April 1st.

Found the fence wasn't as badly damaged as it looked. I had a couple of sections that the wood remained intact but the screws I used (deck screws) sheered off. It took only a few minutes to fix with heavier and longer deck screws. braced another post, so it looks like there there was only 1 additional post taken out. So I'm up to 5 that need replacing since fall. At lease I have a process that makes it faster. I quit trying to dig out the old post and instead make sure it's at ground level and dig a new hole beside it. Then put new stringers between the posts and rehang the pickets.

Willie: My wife reminded me that I can't always continue doing stuff the same way and to take it easier. That's why she pays the grandkids to mow.

Well, howdy there McInternet McPeeps.

Its Troy again (family is Scotch-German, wife's family is Swiss-German) so I won't be McTroy today.

Got back from an early morning grocery run so I could make Willie's favorite stew: Midwestern Chili!!!!

No clue what today is going to bring. I need to finish migrating my chat info from ChatGPT over to Claude. May work on that today.

Outside we've got a dusting of snow, on top of crunchie frozen slush from yesterday.
