After hours of reading instructions, I finally got both my new computer speaker amp hooked up using Bluetooth and the Phone Link App working. I'm now able to read my phone messages on my computer without turning on my phone and wirelessly link to any photos I take with my phone. It took hours but I now have my computer, my computer speaker amp, my car, my phone and my golf cart speaker unit all wirelessly linked up, now all I have to do is clean the house and do the dishes. Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and 62°, headed for upper 80's today and tomorrow before another cool front around noon on Friday. Windy days for the next few so we'll be under a fire alert.

Making the long trip to the PCP's office for a neck sonogram this morning, checking on blood flow or something. I had one about 5 or 6 years ago and I think that the procedure today is just so he can bilk Medicare out of more $$$. Should be home well before noon to do a load of laundry.
Wife's laser procedure follow up went OK yesterday; she can't see any better but the doctor told her it was better!

Out in the train shed yesterday, I made minimal progress on the current project. I decided that I couldn't live with that gap in the LH corner.

So I cut and formed a piece of cardstock to fill in. I decided that it would look better than the piece of quarter-round molding I had originally thought of using.

I also added ground cover and bushes to the area, a change from my usual "start at the front" method of scenery.

Still need to decide what I am going to do with that triangle area before proceeding. I'm leaning toward a light non-rail served industry or warehouse, but I need to look at the stash of kits and structures from the old layout first. Maybe a barn??? Trees will go into the far corner to enhance it a bit.

Troy - Best wishes for your MIL.
Trailrider - Condolences on the loss of your family pet.

The late Aretha Franklin was born on this day in 1942. The still alive Elton John is 79 today.
Everybody have a wonderful Wednesday.
Got this message while trying to post. I'll try again.

Very cool!
Kusojiji I'm so happy it all works together now. The computer speaker amp I bought for $32.00 didn't get good reviews but the persons reviewing it tried to hook it to much larger speakers. I don't think it was designed for that. It works fine with the speakers I am using. Hooking everything up wirelessly using Bluetooth is not easy. Lots of problems have to be deal with, but it all works now. I just turn on what ever I'm using at the moment it automatically makes all the connections. So easy now. No more wires to deal with. Good morning Crew! 31f degrees now and supposedly Mid 70’s later.

I am packed except for meds for heading to Florida on the 31st I think that’s the date per the wife. I’ve been slowly losing weight since February 2 and this will be the last use of these shirts and shorts. They are starting to hang! Back in October the medical experts adjusted my meds for to me no real reason and it backfired. Supposed to be losing the water weight instead it made things worst and I gained. Putting me back on the old meds stopped the gain but didn’t lose what was gained. The February appointment was an interesting one. I think I was a joyful science experiment as from the labs the week before they came up with a plan. All of my old meds were changed out for some I’ve never had! But after the 1st 7 days I had more energy and lost pounds. My Endocrinologist isn’t a real believer in Ozempic or Moujarno shots except in some severe diabetic cases. So I’m on a pill, Orlistat and it’s working after 8 weeks to the tune of 3# per week. So back to the 218 I was at in September but feeling much much better with energy back. The legs are pain free which was scary considering I had never experienced that.

We will spend 4 nights in Orlando and we r definitely not going to Disney as we’ve been there, done that and I am not interested. Not political but there are other things to see in the Orlando area including 1 morning of golf with my brother and 1 afternoon with old college friends. We are taking a all day tour of Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center which is about an hour from our AirBnB. Then 7 nights in Austin and 3 nights at my brother’s outside of Vegas. In all that will be our 1st time on Spirit Airlines. Spirit sounds so bad it might be an adventure in itself.

Isn’t a special “gift” called a bribe in Chicago? In Washington it’s semantics!

I’m been asked if I was going to start a thread on my layout rebuild. Short answer no! It’s lots of work to keep threads timely and in my case I get to taking way too pictures and that chews up time. So while I may occasionally post a picture there will be no thread.

Terry and I really enjoyed Hail Mary the movie yesterday. Only the second movie this year I’m recommending you go see. The other was One Battle After Another which ended up winning the Oscar for best movie last week

We are walking the 1.25 miles this morning to City Hall to early vote as we will be traveling

Then over to a local breaksfast joint. Tomorrow with the Coach and his wife is cancelled.

What time at the bench will be for weathering. A couple of Alcos to get dirtied up…

Enjoy your day

50°F this morning. Good morning everyone. Heading for 80°F today and 90°F tomorrow on the St. Louis Cardinals home opener.

Did laundry unexpectedly yesterday, but thought if I cut the grass today I won't feel like doing laundry too, so did that yesterday. Grass gets cut today. Should be fairly quick since there isn't much grass yet, mostly those tall little weeds with the purple flowers. There is a nice area of grass where I planted a couple of years ago after Lisl passed. She had worn a bare strip of ground diagonally across the yard from chasing her Kong, jumping the hurdles, and other training stuff.

I still haven't heard that Iranian numbers station, but the search continues. Problem is, you only get two chances a day with about a ten minute window.

I love Bluetooth for my TASCAM Model 16 recorder/mixer. All I do is push the on button and it connects automatically to my computer, and the music is then good to go. 200 watts through two 15" PA cabs. In addition to the mics and Roland synth, iTunes plays through the mixer section too.

Everyone have a great Hump Day! Servus!

Good morning folks, 54F here and sunny, heading to 78F today. Dining room table is buried under a miniature painting project that has grown like kudzu in April. Gonna start finishing up a couple of groups today, as I am painting in a rather assembly line fashion on the groups of 8 mechs per faction. Need to throw in a load of laundry too.
You all take care and have a good day.

Yesterday I made the Costco run, and was casually shopping for once since the crowd was still light.

Found this in one of the aisles:

That's my favorite kind of girl scout cookies. But this is granola, not a cookie... so I cautiously bought a bag.

Smokey coconut hits, with a bit of chocolate, some carmelized sugar on a lot of nuts. It's actually pretty good once I got over the "It's NOT the same as the cookies!"

1/3rd of a cup is 130 calories.

Good day to all on the forum.........

Speaking of cookies, I'll have to say the Fudge Mint (Girl Scout or other brand) are my top choice.

I once worked for a friend (back in the late 1980s) who bought ten boxes of the Fudge Mint cookies from Girl Scouts that were making the rounds through our office building. There were 5 of us in the office so he gave each of us a couple of boxes to have. Within an hour, my friend had finished off one box of the cookies. He loved those cookies.

One of my favorites which I cannot find anymore are these........
Have you seen these in your stores? Dollar General made a similar item but when the Snackwells disappeared from the shelves, the Dollar General brand went away too.
There is a similar devils food cookie offered now but it is not near as good and I don't care for them at all.

Good afternoon, Everyone!

Just checking in - I'm still on the upside of the grass!

A lot going on recently. Despite some issues I'm still making progress in the attic, and I am still working, thank God!
I'll keep grinding and God willing i will have more time and energy to check in more often.

I hope and pray all is well with all of you!
