Going with the smaller one for dual Fuel and Inverter status.

Yes, some electronics do not tolerate dirty AC very well. Some provide a clipped sine wave or even a square wave (bad). Stick with the models that provide a true sine wave for computers and other sensitive electronics.

Good morning out there folks. 39°F at 0820 here, looking for 61°F today as it slowly warms up to 90°F by Thursday only to crash again into the 50°s on Friday.

Cardinals home opener is Thursday this week, so Ball Park Village in St. Louis will be a zoo with the warm temps. No place I'd want to be.

The stadium announced an 'all you can eat' concession ticket for eats. Doesn't include beer or soft drinks and I don't know what the cost of that is. Just, wow. I didn't think people went to a ball game to pig-out and there are enough couch potatoes in the world already. Pretty soon they'll have to install wider seats in the ball park for all the obese fans they helped create. Thanks Anheuser!

Nothing going on here, but I believe I'm going to cut grass tomorrow. Those weeds the bees like so much with the little purple flowers are now getting unruly and tall.

Have a great Tuesday! Servus!

I had an appointment to get an eye exam today, but the place called me about ten minutes ago and informed me they no longer accept my insurance. Two weeks ago when I made the appointment, they did. I guess things happen fast these days. My only current choices are Lenscrafters or Target Optical, neither of which have appointments for at least the next 60 days.

Howdy there part deux!

I just updated the layout thread with a conundrum... feel free to chime in over there:

In other news, Mother-in-law is in one of the declines (she's closing in on 91 years old)... Her AFIB makes her swell up with water, which stains her heart and lungs, which makes her not think clearly.

The daughters (my wife the medical lab tech, and her sis, the nurse) are both telling MIL to TAKE MORE LASIX (which has problems for the kidneys, but .... which one do you want to kill you... AFIB complications now, Kidney issues a year or more down the road...

But, the girls are in a quandary... MIL isn't listening to them. She's not thinking clearly, so she won't take more of her water pills. Will makes her clog up even more. Only a Doctor can order her to take it.

She convinced herself that because she didn't take an extra pill yesterday morning and she felt better, she shouldn't take one. BUT she forgot that she took an extra lasix the night before.... which made her feel better the next day.

Doctor has been messaged... waiting on call or email back...

The girls are starting to question whether this is mom signalling that she's wanting to decline without specifically saying that? If they push, she'll deny it...

Wife put me on notice that I have to not be away with our one car for extended periods... like going to gaming events, or even games during the week. Maybe I'll get my Sundays, but if MIL ends up hospitalized, wife will need the car or rides to be with her mom.

I saluted, and agreed. MIL takes precedence.

I had to wait a long time for my first appointment too. All the while my eyes continued to deteriorate. I think I called in October for the first appointment and couldn't get in until the latter part of January or early February. I can't remember exactly now.

Nobody seems to want to admit it, but I remember long wait times and less-than-stellar health care workers were signs of Socialized medicine in other countries.
I was able to find a place that can squeeze me in on April 19th for an exam.

Today is National Cheesesteak Day for all you food lovers out there. I occasionally make Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers, which reduces the carb count for the day.
Cheesecake stuffed peppers sounds interesting. I'm not a fan of cheesecake covered in fruit, too sugary. I wonder how a Jalapeño stuffed with cheesecake would taste? Otherwise I would take it plain any day of the week.

The Cubs are offering something similar but soft drinks are included in that. From what I read its only with certain seating sections,
or options.

I'm sure that's a premium price!

Sad thing is we used to ride the train in and go to a couple of games a year and had a really great time, but it has gotten way too
expensive and not worth it to us anymore.

My second wife and I used to take MetroLink to the 9th Street station from Fairview Heights when I lived there. Fast, easy, and no parking problems. We saw a lot of games in the 90s. Saw Mark McGuire hit his record home run that night.

I couldn't even afford to park over there now let alone get in to see a game.

Cheese cake, cheese steak all the same.... 🤣

On a side note, I'm looking at the pre-retirement stuff from the state for the public employees retirement. There are 3, based on when you started. versions 1 & 2 have a 26 page booklet, version 3 (mine) has a 2 sided sheet. It basically says to call or email and then you get a message that due to high email and call volumes, we might get to you before you retire.

It's been 2 weeks since Bar Mills said they sent out all the missing parts. Nope, nothing. Could it be USPS machinery ate both packages?

Anyways, they refunded my money so I'm not going to be upset. I finished them by fabricating the parts out of scraps and built a little diorama.

Do they have ophthalmologist there?
Optometrist are no good for eye exams.

I use Lenscrafters. The Eye Exams are conducted by a separate Medical Ophthalmologist practices located within the store in most locations in Jersey. The one at our local location bills Medicare for all medical issues. Only the refraction (glasses), is not covered, and costs $85.
Call them and ask about the qualifications of the practice... The Optometrists make the measurements and fit the glasses, but do not write the Rx for the corrective lenses or other medical issues.
Some of the worst service locally comes from independent Ophthalmologist practices and Optometrists. Costco, is so-so, depends on the location.

Grandson at School Time, decided to claim a sore throat. Hoped dad would stay with him and let him play games on his devices.
Dad told him to grab his lunch, and come with him. Stopped at convenience store for gatoraide, then off to the Post.
Once there, the Top put him to work opening and holding doors open while the remaining members of the Cav moved their gear to the new hanger.
