Metro-Denver and the Front Range supposed to have temps in the 80's. At 3:30 PM doesn't feel like it. Took our cocker spaniel for a walk to get the mail. His 15 year-old kennel mate went to Rainbow Bridge early this morning. Fortunately, she was in no pain. Last few days she had trouble walking or even standing. Helped her into her bed last night down on he main floor with the spaniel. He seemed to know she had passed this morning. He is 3 years old, and she is the only other dog he has known. Ah, well...

Have been thinking about adding another shelf under the display ones on the walls of the layout room. Far too much rolling stock with no real place to put it or store it. Have to see about that...

Yellow over red board!

Is there any real cheese in that stuff?
No! 🤣

Good evening folks. It is 61F right now, that's the warmest it's been today. Took my Kia in for it's LOF today, added a couple of filters and discovered that the tires are worn out at 26K miles. They said they would be happy to sell me new tires, the same ones for $850! Got done, and went to a tire place near our house that are really good folks. For the same price getting much better tires, with a great dealer to back it up. My friend is getting another blood infusion, his blood level is slowly getting back to close to normal. He gets an Upper GI AND a Colonoscopy tomorrow morning to look for the leak. They're doing both at the same time, told him they just will flip him over when they get done with the first! Anyway, I'm glad to be done running.

It's Provolone for me. Cheese Whiz??? I didn't think anyone actually ate that s***! Is there any real cheese in that stuff?
Cheese Whiz has its place. I'd much rather have provolone for most things including cheesesteak but there are times and places for it. I do understand that certain sections of Philly and surrounding areas swear by it though on their cheesesteaks.

I couldn't even afford to park over there now
Me and my buddy had a "conversation" about the billionaire game players. He said they were good for the game and brought in people to watch the game. I said no single player is worth that kind of money to me. I had a good laugh when they gave Danny White that big contract, in the later stages of his career, that made him the highest paid player AFAIK/R. And then he got hurt, and then he retired.

My arguement was that the team/league is passing on that expense to the fans. The player and team may be making more money, but I guess not enough people in existence since prices are outrageous and getting worse.

I enjoyed going to the game vice watching on tv since you get the ballpark dynamic with the folks around you, instead of the talking heads taking up most of the time. At the Aloha Stadium, the fans would make the slide whistle sound as the pitcher was warming up before the inning. Pitch goes up as the pitcher threw and pitch went down as the ball returned. Was fun.

I was getting cheese wiz mixed up with velveeta. I like the latter.

I used to make my own processed cheese with sodium citrate and cheddar. I could never get it to solidify correctly, so it was already a melted mess, but it tasted good. Only problem is that it would get stuck in my stache and beard, so I guess I had seconds later.

Well, howdy there internet cheese whiz's

That sounds like a good name for a goblin wizard: Cheeeeeese Wiz!

It's troy again.

No cheese planned for tonight. If all stays stabile on the MIL front, I'll be smoking chicken breasts on the kamado tonight. Don't need cheese on the teriyaki marinated chicken. But if you need your cheese wiz on your dinner, well.... we won't stop you.

Currently 41 with a high of 68° guessed for today.

If you didn't check in on my layout thread: I'm considering on trashing the lower level, and lowering the upper level to 48" high. Mainly because the scope of the project is daunting. I'm not working on it at all. As usual, I'm realizing my eyes were bigger than my stomach, or whatever the metaphor for MRR is.

I did a sleep on the idea of going to one comfortable level, then expanding with shelf layouts around the rest of basement if needed. Or, I may tire of it, rip it out in 5 years and start again. I'd just like to finish something.

We'll see how I feel later, but the idea is to move to one level.

It's laundry day (again). And I should work on cutting down the boxes from the Solar Generators to get them in the trash. For some reason, they sent 2 of the 3 battery packs in a box, they put in a box. So I have five boxes for three packs. And the first portable Solar panel came in a box inside a box as well.

Interestingly, it was the biggest of the batteries that was in a single box. Oh well.

Good morning gang!

34° under partly cloudy skies with a high expected today of 55°.

Cheesecake cheesesteak whatever! However, on the topic of cheesesteaks, my current favorite is from Jersey Mike’s. They have one called the big kahuna, and if you get it in Mike’s way, it’s freaking awesome!

As far as cheese in this house, it’s only real cheese. Not that processed cheese food that they try to individually wrap and pass off as cheese. It’s just a more solid version of cheese whiz, which I won’t eat.

Be back later

Good morning all!

Currently 35F with an expected high of 72F gorgeous degrees under mostly sunny skies.. Looks like the Spring roller coaster
continues.

Busy day around the house today. After I drop my daughter off at school I have my 6 month dental checkup. There is also a
couple loads of laundry to get done. Also I probably need to get my clothes out for our upcoming Florida trip that we leave
for Saturday morning. My wife already did here pile and has it all set out and ready to go. My daughter probably hasn't even
thought about it and will scramble around Friday night. Since there is a washer and dryer in the condo I will only take the bare
minimum.

Not much else going on at the moment.

Have a safe day everyone!

Morning all.

54° and clear with a high of 90° later. Not much going on yet today.

In my talking with HR yesterday about retirement, the HR director asked me when I turn 65, I told her 5 weeks ago. Then her eyes got huge and she said, "You're only one bad day away from calling it!". She then pointed out, I'm Medicare eligible, can draw social security, and draw retirement...

I did say that didn't fit my current plans and would be working until at least 67, and possibly 70. She was good with that as was my supervisor who leans heavily on my expertise. I've been doing IT work longer than he's been alive. He's just a year older than my kids. He got the job after I told HR I didn't want it when our old supervisor retired. There was more to the job than IT and I wasn't interested.
