Good morning gang!

72° and overcast, with rain later, around 8-9 o'clock.

The North Carolina trip has been postponed. Son in law has Covid. We'll try again next month after it runs through the household. This weekend will consist of digging up the underground wire to the lamp post out front to repair the damage the critters did to it. Also we are gonna start attacking the garage mess, which means a run to the dump or two. It's always something!

Good afternoon all, quiet day at Casa Collier. Had some eggsalad and coffee. Last night worked on the Ruptured Duck, let glued parts dry overnight and will probably hollow out the truck box floor for clearance and glue some BBs into it for some extra weight.

Currently 62°F here and starting to fall. St. Louis is reporting 42°F. Raining now on and off with numerous showers passing over and a bit of wind.

There are new reports this morning that rural Marissa, IL about 10 miles north of here may have had a tornado around the time the thunderstorms rolled though here at 0500. Farm buildings torn up pretty bad and a grain silo damaged from flying debris. The NWS is sending a team to investigate the damage and any ground signs of a tornado.

Open mouth, insert foot, shake it all around!

After i bragged about my gluing skills to re-attach my rearview mirror in my pickup, I hit the mirror with an umbrella handle this morning. Any guesses as to what popped loose?
I guess that Chinese ACC was not so great after all or maybe I need more gluing practice.. I mumbled some words about a hydroelectric structure a few times and gathered up the mirror. Sanding the ACC off the metal mounting button is so much fun.

I am headed out today to find some 5 minute epoxy and will see if that will work better than ACC.
Next chapter of this saga will be next week.

CA will not work on rear view mirror pucks.
You need to go to the parts store and buy a single use packet of rear view mirror adhesive.

Willie. All our time at sea will be onboard cargo ships. We have an open ticket around the world. All we have to do is contact the Shipping Company of our plans and book a ship.. Our cabins are all the Owner's Suite, so we know there is some luxury on board whichever ship.
