So far, everything seems to be working. I noticed a couple of changes on the other forum. Arguably the best upgrades are the ones nobody notices.

What changes did you notice there? Curious as to what you're seeing. Both forums should be working pretty much the same.

It does kind of look like Russian lettering.

And the logo looks the part as well. But the colors could be German (black gold red)...

After refreshing the forum here, it does now match the other forum. I must have been viewing everything just as it was being updated.

Yes, the updates took a bit of time to do. Most stuff shouldn't be all that noticeable.

Probably the most obvious thing is the ads, where they are, and more importantly where they're not. Google was slowly adding stuff, like showing an ad when you click on a link to new posts etc. I don't want that, so I went in and re-edited them to get rid of that sort of thing. Yes, there's still ads here, but hopefully not nearly as obnoxious.

It was to the point that on the mobile version it was pretty much useless. I don't use mobile, but when I looked at it, I was angry.

Seems to be running faster, no delays when you post or use the like button.

There's a slight delay when you post, we have a spam filter that reviews content.

Looks OK for me. I noticed immediately the boxes on the right when I clicked "What's New", but they don't bother me. I don't use mobile either.

Rainy and dreary for another couple of days. Should be up in the high 70's low 80's starting Monday.

About 3/4 done with another kit I had laying around while indoors. A few more details and it will be on the shelf until the next swap meet.

One of these days I'll buy a better camera.

The ones on the right are intentional. They're not blocking any content.
I was seeing a full page ad that you had to click through to continue. That was not acceptable. I think it maybe only does it once a visit, but I'd really prefer to not use those at all if I can avoid it.

That's quite possible. They did make a bunch of subtle changes and improvements.
