Nutella is mostly chocolate and sugar. Sugar is listed as the first ingredient. That said, it does taste good on toast, as does peanut better. My favorite way (to eat peanut butter) is on a hot buttered toasted English muffin, real butter, not margarine. I have to watch though, sometimes too much peanut better, or too many other nuts) give me gut cramps. I suspect I may be slightly allergic to them.
Nutella is something I never acquired the taste for. My daughter on the other hand could live off of Nutella, and banana sandwiches!

Now a good toasted peanut butter and banana sandwich is more up my alley.

My kids and grandkids love Nutella! Too sweet for my taste. My wife makes palacsinta I'm not sure of the spelling, and she is busy at the moment. Palacsinta is like a crepe. I call it a Hungarian pancake. They are very thin and much harder to make than they look! They eat them anytime of the day, not just for breakfast. Most of the time my kids like them with Nutella. But they fill them with jam, cocoa powder, pudding like filling, anything you might see in a pastry. Sweets are not my thing.

Peanut butter, I love it! For me peanut butter is best on celery or saltine crackers. Peanut butter and jelly, no thank you! I told you I am an oddball.

You all eat some strange combinations. But that's cool, I'm no food snob. Eat whatever makes you all happy, enjoy!

Who am I to talk? I sometimes mix ketchup and A-1 steak sauce together when I eat steak. It depends on the steak. A great steak demands only salt!

Hotdogs: Boy, y'all are finicky - hot dogs right outa the package, still dripping will work.
My man! I'm with you!

I have a thing for chicken hotdogs straight out of the package. That is my kind of snack!

I don't like beef hotdogs out of the package or boiled.

I got some finicky stuff with me too. My wife says, "your food rules make me crazy" A man must have rules! By the way, she said that after she boiled the beef hotdogs! WTF!
One of the things I loved about trucking - all truck stops have dogs/sausages on the roller just about any time during the day/night.
A roller grill can make any hotdog or sausage taste good! That stuff is good any time day or night.

You have to love the truckers; they know all the best food spots!

Speaking of truckers, we need more and expanded rest areas for our truckers!

Those guys and gals are scattered all over the creation. The shoulder Interstate 95 is lined up to a mile with trucks having to park on the shoulder because the rest areas are full!

We all depend on trucks. If I'm not mistaken, up to two thirds of our great nation's economy is consumer driven. Try buying something without trucks involved!

Re: Nutella

Yes, it is a lot of sugar, hazelnuts, and chocolate. It is awesome but since I am low carb I hardly ever have any now (hence my experiment with the low carb sunflower butter chocolate spread I mentioned).

Back in the 80s it was not well known in the US. I had been to germany in HS and brought home a jar.

A couple years later I moved to Germany to do missionary work and sent my mom the Aldi generic version of Nutella (at the time) from Germany -- a jar of Nutoka. When she got it, she sat down and ate the whole jar.

I like it with cream cheese on ritz or other similar crackers. Bt now I don't eat it hardly at all. :(

Peanut Butter is awesome -- especially the natural kind (that you have to stir). I have a jar upstairs I need to open and stir. It's good with everything -- Apples, crackers, Nutella, mixed with raw oats and nuts, etc.

Salty chocolate is always a winner.

That's what he got at Wendy's all the time. Large fries and small chocolate frosty. I still do it to this day when I feel the need for some comfort food.

The various Sea Salt chocolates you can get are a good testament to this. It brings out the flavor. I've, at times, added a pinch of salt to my low-carb cocoa I make and it helps enhance the flavor. Salt is an amazing thing!
