Still waiting on the mod team to do their thing...

View attachment 169898

I ain't leaving, but I ain't doing much else until this is resolved one way or another.

And wait until you see what I just ordered. But, it's hobby related, so...
Give it a break, for crying out loud. Get over yourself. Do you really think you're so special that you deserve to have the staff members perform exactly what you expect? Your behavior is worse than the edict. Please just stop.

I'm not asking for special treatment of any kind. No idea where you got that idea.

Just want the old coffee shop back. Friendly banter, lots of happenings. Lots of photos.

You do you, I'll do me. It'll be good for everyone.

From a couple of pages back -----------

This place is as quiet as a graveyard - come on train fans ... Ignore the edict ... damn the torpedoes - full speed ahead! We are not governed by a king, maybe except the owner?

Here are your words:

"I'm still waiting for..."

Sounds like you are expecting the staff to do something to me. Also sounds to me like it's your desire to have them do it to your satisfaction.

Looks to me like your ego is out of check.

I'll keep doing me. You may want to seek some spiritual growth.

And maybe heed Sherrel's advice and just IGNORE the edict. Please stop perpetuating the drama

Good Morning All. Clear and 62°, thunderstorms are still in the forecast today through Wednesday although yesterday's didn't materialize.

I did the usual Saturday chores around here yesterday, usual for being chores, not confined to Saturday. Mowed the SE part of the yard over the septic tank and lateral lines, did laundry, and made an unplanned trip to town. On Thursday, I forgot to take the sample of pool water in to be tested, so I did that yesterday. Mostly OK, but I had to buy some stabilizer to add. I knew this already, but just didn't know how much.

Not much time out in the train shed yesterday. I did add a few more trees, but I ended up running trains mostly. I'm kinda putting off getting out the weed material, as it is a pain to add. Maybe today. Meanwhile more pictures from the archives.

Louis - Good news about your friend Willy.
Chris - Good luck with the rewiring.
Patrick - Leave the corn alone. these kinds of events strengthen it for the future.
Tony - Respectfully disagree, steaks should be medium rare, closer to the rare side!

Today is National Cheese Day. I love cheese of all kinds. My cheese drawer is always overflowing. I took a look in the fridge and started counting. I have Swiss, Provolone, Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, White Cheddar, Irish Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Brick, Mozzarella, Muenster, American slices, Blue Cheese, Parmesan, Colby, Romano, Gouda, Cream Cheese, Pepper Jack, Asiago, Ricotta, Havarti, Brie, and probably a few others that I can't dig out right now. That's over 20, maybe more if I count Cottage Cheese.
Everybody have a great Sunday.
No Willie,no update…..so a Willie rerun….so I get my rr fix….
Well Well. So now I'm being accused of starting this mess am I, I voice an opinion you don't agree with, so, it must be Smudge who dunnit, but I will give your due, at least your man enough to voice it, I wonder how many others think the same, anyone else want to jump in, please, by all means feel free.
well I was sadly disappointed when you failed to jump in and support effected members, and you continuously pressed that Tony actions were not that bad, and when I said something unwittingly awful that was close to you I would have been ashamed if you had just said..cough….I have a serious issue with that.

I would have fallen over in abject apologies and grovelled ad nauseum, and I am genuinly regretful that it caused angst, but you did go for the heart so yeah you hurt my feelings as well, even though I was initially clearly in the wrong, and I wish I just used the term dictator. but you have pmed on no end of occasions I thought us friends a wuiet word in my ear would have had that comment edited immediately,

So yeah do I think it might be you, sorry I do,you were noticeably absent in supporting the status quote as so many others did, not saying a culprit might say yeah yeah that’s wrong and slink off,but I would have liked you to have shown support for those effected….and I still want Willie and others to have the freedom to post here as they have done.

Having the audacity to talk and show over railways in a railroad forums coffee shop. or being forced to have to set up a structured thread to suit others rather than share and enjoy it as it suits you.

I have been told off for posting on the wrong thread, guilty, and stopped it. I have been been nicely asked to cease and desist if I overstep the mark, and I can,but if I offend I hold my hand up own it and apologise. I do not support forcing people who are not doing any harm to go produce content how I want it, I would slave drive the likes of Willie to a stand still. TLoC would left be whimpering in a corner Begging for mercy, I am grateful for content that I enjoy, and I check out discussions people participate in hoping for more brilliant content. But this is a hobby not a job,the coffee shop here is a support system with usually tolerant participants and if anyone usually steps over the line someone will apply a gentle nudge back.

So sorry do I think Troy has looked at the coffee shop threads and come to a conclusion that I would disagree with no, when I looked back I had 2 possibilities but your posts did lead me to think at the least you supported it,and did not stand up for our fellow modellers, can we get past this yes actually,if the coffee shop goes back I can put it behind me,you will need to look into your own heart and decide,

I have not proof read this running out of battery….but I did put some returns so hopefully Troy won’t be on my case lol.

Morning to all...well, noon to some;) Canadian steam locomotives have a charm of their own, many medium and large classes were equipped with Elesco feed water heaters. That and full enclosed cabs, somewhat europeanish looking tenders gave them different appearance than their american counterparts to the south. This mikado is one of my favorites at Steamtown collection in Scranton:

Smudge, I don't blame you at all!

For the record, I have no idea who "put the bug" in Tony's ear and I don't care.

- although lately in this Country there seems to be a mindset that a few can control the narrative?
Isn’t that the truth.

I owned and operated an action figure forum for about 5 years or so. We had a “general discussion area” and sometimes things were discussed there that should have been discussed in another area of the forum. I would always remind the members to post in the appropriate areas. Then I would move their posts to that area. Sometimes they weren’t happy about it. They eventually got over it.

But here… I’m still a little confused as to the overreaction to Tony’s post. I read it and thought, ok, no problem. Then I moved on.
Just my 2 cents.

I don't know the truck company. I found the photo with Bing. All it said was Baltimore City Fire Department 1970s

Somewhere I have an O scale 1914 or so Cadillac Baltimore City Fire Truck. I bought two. I gave one to my nephew, he is a lieutenant in the Baltimore City Fire Department. I can't find a photo. I paid nearly $40 for each. They are nice looking. That is how I found this one.

I like fire trucks.
First time I encountered a BCFD Engine Co, I was surprised that a big city FD would paint their apparatus any color other than red. I grew to like the white - orange combo, and was disappointed when they went White over Red, (Like everyone else).

Example Engine2 on Light Street showing off their new Seagrave. BTW, the station looks like a kitbashed Lifelike fire house. I love Baltimore Firehouse Architecture.

In my opinion that is an overreach.
Regarding the kerfuffle... I find some people's behavior to be spiteful. Or... perhaps "revelling" is more a more precise description of how I perceive some people's behavior. I have to ask myself why some people seem to revel in another person's peril. Not the sort of people I want to be associated with.

Life is too long to live it while feeling compelled to prove that someone else was wrong. It's so much more peaceful to live and let live.

I can have no serenity if I believe everyone should think and act as I do.
And not in keeping with the spirit of your own words.
Spite, hate, anger and all negative feelings are counterproductive. No good will come from them.
Even good people make mistakes and act inappropriately from time to time. Follow me around for a day or two and I'll show you. I may not be so good, but I am trying.
Many of us, me included, can do better.

We need to have some forgiveness and understanding for each other.
